New X3 oil change at 1k miles?

Just bought a 2026 X3 30i. I usually like to change the oil on new cars at 1k. Is this a good idea with this particular BMW model? I’m somewhat new to BMW’s. Thank you!

New 26 F150. Issue with remote start and lock/unlock.

Brand new 26 F150 with 600 miles on it. This may or may not be specific to the F150 and could be a Ford thing.

Last night I parked the truck at about 8pm. I go to remote start it around 3p today and it won’t unlock or start via the Ford app. I then started with the fob/push button ignition and it starts right up. After starting with the fob and push button ignition, the app now works with remote start and auto lock/unlock. This has happened a few times. However today I received this message on my Ford app:

Remote features disabled to preserve battery

“To conserve battery life for your 2026 F-150 equipped with FordPass(TM) Connect, remote features including start/stop and lock/ unlock* are temporarily unavailable. Don't worry though, nothing is wrong. This happens automatically when you haven't started your vehicle for a period of time”

Is there a setting to change this? Kind of weird that remote start and lock/unlock from the app becomes disabled if you don’t drive the vehicle for a little over a day. Thanks for any feedback!

Brand new 5.0 with 3.73 gears F150. Poor gas mileage?

I’m still on my first tank of gas. I have a 5.0 Super Crew with 3.73 gears and 20” tires with the 36 gallon tank. I knew what I getting into and didn’t expect good gas mileage (but was hoping for a little more). I definitely wanted the 5.0 and test drove one with the 3.31 gears and there was a very noticeable difference between the 3.31 and 3.73 gears. So I was willing to pay the price for gas mileage to have 3.73 gears, which to me, was significantly better in acceleration. So with about a quarter tank left, I’m getting about 15 gallons/mile. I do mostly backroads and not much highway. Is this normal? Should I expect it to get any better after a few tanks of gas? Thanks!

Just took delivery of my new F-150!

After a long and exhausting search stretching well over a month, I found what I wanted and then some. I initially wanted an XLT but after the new employee pricing incentives, I found the color combination and package I was looking for in a Lariat for less than I intend on spending for an XLT. Had an F150 years ago and sold it. I had been driving a Jeep Wrangler the last 8 years and it feels good to be back in the F150. Carbonized grey metallic, BAP, 502a, 5.0L. Totally pumped.

Had a great deal on a new 26 F150. Was supposed to take delivery yesterday (04/30 - last day of the month). The vehicle was being swapped into the dealership I was going to use. It got sent to another dealership. Therefore, I now have to go through the entire buying process w this new dealer. With my luck, I’m guessing incentives/rebates for May are worse than the ones for April? Does anyone know what they are or where to find them? My past dealer was giving me $2,500 + another $500 for currently owning a Ford in rebates.
