Want to play a specific way but not sure how to

Hi, I'm terrible at this game but really enjoying it nonetheless. I greatly enjoy being able to set up extensive defences, somewhat at my leisure, and then when I'm ready, having the enemy assault my position in increasingly strong waves. Had a blast in the campaign missions which kinda mirror this.

Are there a set of mods or a game mode I'm missing which would allow me to do this? Ideally also on a map designed to favour a defender digging into an advantageous position, and which allows me a degree of freedom in making my defences as strong or as weak as I want. Very much a sandbox kind of situation.

Appreciate any info on this

My first ever tank completed, extremely pleased with how it turned out!

Had a lot of fun building and painting this. It's at 1/48 scale and I wanted a bigger surface to practice on before I do the smaller tanks for the Bolt Action Games
