Now that Backrooms has released, does anyone else hope Kane goes back and finishes People Still Live Here?

Now that Backrooms has released, does anyone else hope Kane goes back and finishes People Still Live Here?

This series was really intriguing and I really want to see how everything connects. It very much reminded me of Petscop and that kind of uneasy feeling of playing a game with connections to real world events that you weren't supposed to find out about.

I'm not sure if Kane has said anything about it and I'm assuming Kane stopped working on it when A24 got him onboard with Backrooms. As it stands right now there's a lot of loose ends and unanswered questions, so my hope is that once everything settles he might be able to bring this one back.

The Companion Cube Steam Machine case is GONE. What is going on with dbrand?

Seriously, everything is gone. Their youtube video on the case is gone, their tweets talking about the case is gone, the link that used to direct to the case takes you here now. What is happening?

You'll notice this new skin they're showing off has some blurred characters on the monitor. Yesterday those characters weren't blurred, they used to say "./hl3". This tweet here can back me up on that, I was on the page yesterday too and can confirm it's not a hoax.

It's also worth mentioning that dbrand's video on the companion cube case (now removed) jokingly referenced Half-Life 3 at the end, obviously not meant to be taken seriously. Doesn't it seem strange that every mention of the case is now... Gone? Seemingly after making this "joke" ?

There's also talk on Twitter about how dbrand may not have actually been given the license to use Valve's intellectual property (the companion cube), no sources given there, and that doesn't make any sense either given that this case was announced over 7 months ago now and Valve would probably have done something if any IP was being infringed in 7 months.

Dbrand has yet to make a statement on this. Bit weird, innit?

EDIT: Here's a link to dbrand's page survey thing for anyone who wants it.

EDIT 2: Dbrand has made a statement here. Turns out they really didn't have permission to use their IP. Refunds will be issued.

San Andreas PC - Broken intro videos with messed up colors. Any fix?

Running San Andreas 1.0 with Silent Patch. It looks like the color values are being stretched vertically and the black level is lifted a ton. The intro videos look as they should when viewed through VLC media player, only in-game do they look like this.

My PC has an AMD 9060 XT and the latest drivers which might be relevant. This post from two months ago had the same issue, but no fixes were given. Does anybody know what's causing this and if there's a fix at all? I've looked everywhere and it's the only problem the game has on my system, which is a real shame because the intro movie and music is phenomenal.
