Accept demotion or take a year off?

My current U11 fourth grader currently plays for, and excels, for a mid-tier competitive club team - think “Silver”. Due to the age switch and club politics, his offer for next year is “Bronze”.

His current coach vehemently disagrees with the placement and is trying to get the club to reconsider, but I think it’s unlikely.

Looking for experiences and perspectives on whether we should accept the demotion or just take a year off. If it means anything, his birthday is August so he aged “down”. So this feels like repeating kindergarten just at a lower level…and I’m worried about him becoming disillusioned playing at the lower level.

Bosch Refrigerator Reliability?

Our Kitchenaid refrigerator is crossing the Rainbow Bridge. I looked at the new Kitchenaid refrigerators and they seem meh at best. The Bosch refrigerators impressed me - specifically the 800 series.

Are there any reliability concerns with Bosch refrigerators? I don’t want something that will break down in 18 months.

Planning a Japan trip for Summer 2027. I’m looking to book a portion of the trip using Hyatt points but I don’t know which city I should target. I’m not just looking at hotel and redemption values, but the $$$ cost of booking a similar hotel or Airbnb. For example, if there are a ton of good Airbnb options in Osaka vs Tokyo, maybe using the points in Tokyo would be better.

Any advice here? We’re a family of 6 if that matters (fully aware we’ll have to book 2 or 3 hotel rooms).
