recommendations

Dawsons Creek is my absolute favorite show of all time. I’m sure if you’re part of the sub you probably feel similarly to me.

I’m looking for recommendations of other shows that you think I would love since I absolutely adore this show.

For someone who is kind of stuck in the 90s, I haven’t seen a lot of 90s TV shows so even throw obvious choices at me!

how many stones did you have?

just curious for all my post op baddies. how many stones did they find in your gallbladder? I just got a test result back that I think says that I had at least 30 yellow stones measuring anywhere up to 1 cm.

Curious how it was for others!

Man stroking his penis at union Street station

hey everyone! I literally just got out of the train station and saw some creepy ass dude with his full dick out stroking his penis on the Manhattan bound side of the train at Union Street. Please be careful. I was trying to find a policeman or someone but there wasn’t anyone around. he was at the staircase peeking around the corner.

totoro disney vs streamline dub

so i know we all have our opinions. and i want to start this off by saying that i grew up with the fox streamline version and i think they did a great job.

i think the Disney dub is so much more authentic sounding. streamline just sounds like two adult actors trying to sound like children. which i know that’s exactly what it is, but they way they mispronounce satsuki drives me BONKERS. it’s just like how i’ll never pronounce sakura correctly because of cardcaptors. what a sin!

i love dakota and elle fanning as the sisterly duo. mei being done by elle is a huge upgrade from the fox version. that voice will always just be angelica to me unfortunately. i understand how dakotas voice could grate on someone’s nerves but they just don’t on mine. i love how genuine both of their performances are.

so yeah also big ups to pat carrol as granny freaking LEA SALONGA as the mom and what’s his face as the dad. huge fans of everyone’s acting in this film.

would love to hear anyone else opinions but i request that you give reasons for your opinions just so i can understand why people hate the new dub. in my opinion it is WORLDS better.

annoying throat and stomach symptoms

hey all! i’m posting here yet again. i’m about 4 days post op.

just curious if anybody else is experiencing what I’m experiencing at the moment. Not gonna lie my recovery was a lot more than what I expected it to be but also manageable.

Not only did it look like somebody tried to set my throat on fire immediately postop, but now as my throat is finally healing, I keep getting these insanely dry spots in the back of my throat that is causing me to cough at night and wake up my entire family. I’ve been drinking water tea and taking lozenges, but it keeps coming back and it’s super annoying. If this has happened to you, how long did this last?

also just in general, depression and helplessness from not being able to pick up my toddler. I’ll chop it up to the gut bacteria being off, but I’ve been definitely down in the dumpster lately.

I’ve also been having the feeling of being very hungry but very full at the same time and was wondering how long I could expect to feel this way. Appreciate everybody’s thoughts and perspectives.

to tincture or not to tincture?

hey all! i just posted here not too long ago about my friend who woke up screaming 😅 i just had my gallbladder removed today! i survived! it sucks but it’s also not that bad! i didn’t wake up screaming and i was in really good shape. i feel like crap because i’m on 3 hours of sleep and im choosing not to take the oxycodone prescribed to me so i guess that’s my problem 😂

but yeah just wondering. has anyone used any thc products post op and did it help? i won’t be doing it today because my system is so shot. but i was thinking hopefully tomorrow? i’ve also only eaten like 50 calories today because anytime i nibble on something i feel a bit nauseous 🤢

so yeah.
TLDR did any thc products help you post op? would love to hear your stories!

surgery in 2 days and i have some last minute q’s

hi everyone! i know this is like the thousandth post like this but im very neurotic and im freaking out.

i used to eat too healthy to a fault(part of my disordered eating habits) and now i just don’t want that life for myself anymore. i definitely got my stones from eating too much cheese and from pregnancy. i’ve been slowly trying to lose weight for the past year by counting calories but the gastro said my liver enzyme is really high. is this because of my fucked up gallbladder or is it from bad diet? i don’t eat that unhealthy and i try to find a balance. but i don’t want to miss out on half and half in my coffee or avocado toast for the rest of my life out of fear of liver damage!

also my friend made me laugh but also scared me. said she woke up from her surgery screaming and in the worst pain she had ever felt and her nurse was like “ok calm down” 😂 is this what most people experience post op? i’m quite scared of being in that much pain. she said the pain meds and walking helped but that she had wished someone would have prepared her for the amount of pain she was in. 😅

getting surgery july 9th curious about liver

hey all!

i’ve been getting horrendous attacks since last September and since they’ve been getting more frequent i’ve decided to have surgery next month.

i went to the doctor so they could check my liver and he said he was surprised at HOW fatty my liver is lol. i’ll be honest my diet isnt the best but it definitely isn’t the worst. i do my best to get in all the food groups. i avoid eggs and fatty meats. don’t eat that much cheese anymore. ill have a little bit but not nearly as much as i used to. i’ll have lowfat ice cream bars to snack on and if not that ill have unprocessed baked goods that i make from scratch (usually with coconut sugar and maple syrup)

so yeah im trying but i suppose i could be doing better. i love creamy pastas which ive also been avoiding (made vegan alfredo the other day that came out nicely!) and i was doing avocado toast but then i started getting very bad attacks from avocado (i used to not)

OK, this is a very long-winded way of me asking if any of you post op heroes had a fatty liver that cleared up after surgery? or do i have to work on it? i’m just not sure what else I should be doing that will diminish my quality of life. i’ve already given up
so much stuff that i love 😭
