[Condo] came with a HOA balance due. [TX]

Purchased a retail condo late 2024. During the closing, the HOA changed management companies. The previous management company gave our title company a form saying no balance due. The first statement from the new management company showed a balance of $3,204.18. There was no lapse of payments from when we closed, we paid a prorated HOA fee for the month, and the seller paid the rest (to the old management company), we've been up to date ever since. The old management company has not responded to our requests for evidence of a balance, and the new management company has also not responded with anything other than essentially- "that's what you owe" We've been carrying this balance, fortunately without late fees for over a year, but I want it resolved. It's big enough that I don't want to pay it, and it's a small amount to send to my lawyer to resolve, unless we can get a judgement that includes legal fees, which I doubt would happen. I assume that small claims court is where I need to go? I'm looking for advice, thanks.

UK buyer is saying he can't buy my item.

I'm a US based seller, eBay international shipping enabled on all my listings.

UK Buyer wants to buy, but says I don't ship to the UK, sent me a screenshot of it, big red bar.

"Unfortunately this seller won't send this item to United Kingdom"

Ship internationally maybe once or twice a week. Don't know to which countries, because they all go to Chicago as far as I know. Shouldn't my listings be blocked from them viewing if I didn't ship to their country? Additionally I can't respond to their messages through the eBay app- literally the send button doesn't work, but can from a browser.

Just now a buyer from Australia said they can't see a shipping cost.

Recent changes to US international shipping? Requirements I don't meet anymore? Fluke?

0% my fault. Contact the at fault driver's insurance? What's the consensus?

Standing outside my car parked in an unloading zone. Truck doesn't clear pulling into the spot next to me, hits my car. There's some paint transfer, we exchange insurance info, take pics and go on our way. I file a claim with my insurance. My insurance asks me if I want to work with the other insurance company, which I decline. They make it sound like I'll not get my deductible back if I don't work with them, which really sounds like they're shirking their responsibilities, trying to reduce their own paperwork. This is exactly what we pay insurance companies for, right? Subsequently, I've gotten a couple calls from their insurance and I've declined to make a statement. I've always thought it best to let the insurance companies work it out.

However, I got a call from my insurance company asking me how the repair is going. I asked them about the other insurance company calling me and me declining to make a statement. They recommended that I talk to the other insurance company, that they can't share the recorded statement I gave them with the other company and it will speed things up if the other adjuster has the info. He also said that the other party won't take their calls, so it's slowing the whole process.

I'm surprised at this. I declined to go through the other insurance, because they don't work in my interest, they work for their client interest only. Then I declined to give a statement to the other company for the same reason. Am I crazy? I've been in 6 accidents in my 40+ years of driving, at various states of fault and never worked with the opposing insurance company.

I've been with USAA since I was a kid, I've always felt that they have my best interests in mind, since they're client owned. I don't feel that way anymore. They don't give me the same feeling of confidence that they did when I was younger in the military. I feel like they really went to bat for me and provided excellent customer service, and now I just don't think anyone cares anymore. Every company has been reduced to bare bones, make the most with the least. Provide just enough service so that people won't go somewhere else.

Closing with the important question though; in a simple no injury, minimal damage situation, can I just make it easier for everyone and talk to Progressive or am I just opening myself up to liability? I'm confident that the other company wouldn't be able to make me say something that they could use against me, especially in such a simple clear cut case, but am I just making things harder for everyone, including myself when I have the possibility of being out my deductible in a worst case scenario?
