I have downloaded the ISO for burning to DVD and "verified" it THREE times! I have WASTED three dvds on this thing! When I open the DVD up to simply view the files on it, all of the same ones show up. I can boot many other distros from DVD! But, this one simply will _NOT_! Windows winds up taking over and going ahead and booting up.
WHY is this NOT working?????😒

Dummy me, was desperate to find out how to clean the paper rollers in my printer as it was leaving these really nasty hickeys/globs of ink on printed documents. So, I fell into JustAnswer's trap before I researched them. My BAD!!!

So I filled in the info they wanted (LIKE AN IDIOT!) and ran in circles with their with their AIB and then was called by this guy who did nothing but took the technical info and do searches on YouTube and supplied my with some links in my e-mail. He also sent them by text to my FLIP phone after I told him several times that I could not follow links with that phone.
Oh, it gets "better"! After a few days of being totally ballz to the wallz bzzz🐝zzzy, I finally got the chance to work with my printer. I went through all 4 links he sent to my e-mail. ONE of them was for MY printer. The rest had nothing to do with it. So, I got back on their site and sent this guy a message simply asking if the links he sent my phone were the same as what he sent in the e-mail.
He refused to answer me!!! First, he wanted my password. No way was I going to give anyone my password and I told him so!!! Then, he kept telling me to call a phone number and give them a code. As it turns out, it was for Yahoo which is who I have my e-mail through. I Unsubscribed from the JustAnswer website. They even sent me an email saying that I had done so.
NOW, I'm LOCKED out of my e-mail so I can't get to any of the e-mails this freak of nature sent me. And I have to wait until Monday when I can try to contact Yahell by phone since nothing I tried to retrieve my e-mail through their stupid help page worked.
I also have to go to my bank and tell them not to honor any attempt by this scam outfit to extract any more money from my account. I had to use that because my Discover card wasn't good enough for them I should have taken the hint at that!
In the mean time, I've done the research on this outfit that I should have done to begin with and found ALL kinds of complaints EVERYWHERE about them, including the thing above about the FTC. I’m running Windows 7 Pro. All of a sudden, this evening, I lost sound in everything. I finally got sound back for everything BUT Free Alarm Clock v5.2 by Comfort Software Group lost the ability to see the sound drivers it needs to play sounds from inside of the program. All sound drivers on the computer are “up to date” according to Windows Device Manager. So, I manually backed up my alarms from within the program and Sounds file from within the program folder in Program Files (x86) and then uninstalled the program with Revo Uninstaller in Safe Mode, made sure there was nothing left in the Registry, rebooted, and then went to their website and grabbed an .exe from there of the newer version. See that site here: https://freealarmapp.com/ if that info is pertinent. I installed Free Alarm Clock v5.3. It automatically inserted my alarms and sounds from the Online Alarm Clock from the inside of the program so I didn’t have to do anything to get my alarms and sound file back. Now, while the alarms go off like they’re supposed to, the sound is still not there for this program. Remember, all other ways of getting sound from this computer work just fine!

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on and what I can try to get sound out of this program? I'm kinda lost without it, now that I've gotten used to it.
P.S.: I use this computer as an alarm clock to get me up every day and have it set to remind my mentally challenged husband to do certain tasks when I have no choice but to leave him alone to go out to do various necessary errands. So, this is rather important to both our lives.
I run Windows 7 Pro. I have MS Office XP/10 installed. I use Word as my workhorse word processor. I can not for the life of me get that thing to NOT save a list of opened documents. No matter what I try and I’ve tried everything I can find on the internet to do this within Word, no matter what I try I can not get those settings to stay put. They always revert back to their defaults. Is there a way through 7s regedit to accomplish this goal? Any ideas of my next step(s)? Or am I stuck with lists to delete?

There are complaints about GE Appliances everywhere on the web. So, here is my 2½¢:

I made the colossal mistake of buying a GE Stove. This thing is a complete P.O.S.!
First, the instructions say to only use a damp cloth to clean the stove top with. What the H-E-double toothpicks is going to cut any grease that lands there?!
Second, they say not to use oven cleaners on it. Again, WHAT the 7734 is going to get the thing CLEAN?! I had an appliance repair man tell me NEVER to use the "self cleaning" function on ANY oven because it gets just way too damned HOT!
[Third] Now, for the BIGGEST of biggies: What pin-headed jack@55 came up with this "sensi-temp 'technology'"?! What?! People can't even boil water on this 5#!+!! That so called "technology" STOPS a person from cooking! period. the end!
I've been cooking for 58 years! I think I know how to keep a pan from catching fire!!
I bought a GE microwave 10 years ago and found that some idiot thought it was a good idea to put black letters on a gray background that makes it almost impossible to see. But, I spent $450 dollars on the thing and needed it, so I'm making do. I have a GE dishwasher that does just ~ok~ but leaves certain things with a film on them. AND that is with the very best Cascade dish-washing soap pods one can buy and Cascade Rinse Agent! Oh, and I rinse everything before it goes in there because it just doesn't get clean unless rinsed well.
And, now, a $1000 stove that is next to worthless!!! (If you've gotten this far in my diatribe, I'm wondering if one can safely remove the "sensi-temp" Bull Scat from the burners or can one safely replace those burners with NORMAL burners? Anyone here know what I can do to be able to cook on this thing?)
I WILL __NEVER__ BUY ANOTHER ONE OF GE’s PIECES OF 5#!+ EVER AGAIN!!!!! AND I _WILL_ be telling everyone I know and meet what garbage they build and peddle. That it's not worth the scrap metal it's made from! period. the end.
