New to Multi Filament Halp Please

Second Attempt at multi color with CFS on a Creality K2 Pro Combo:
It's only a 2 hour print and its been going for two hours and its still only on layer 100 of 449. Unfortunately I can't physically inspect the printer myself since it's at my moms house I just monitor it for her while it finishes a long print since I'm up all night. But the annoying part is its the second time this has happened. For all i know a filament snapped or had a tangle but I also just want to know how to avoid this. Perhaps I just made bad slicer decisions.

I am very new to multi color prints with an auto changing filament system. I have only ever had an Ender 3 v2 pro, and now I have a Ender 3 v3 plus. My mom wanted to get into it so she got an even better printer than me and as all things do especially with 3D printing there is a learning curve.

How to flatten the back of model for 3d Printing?

So I am entirely self taught with blender started using it back in 2020 and this is a common issue I run into alot since I only use models for 3d printing.

How would I take the faces of the mesh all facing the same direction and extrude it to form a solid flat back for easy printing with no overhangs?

Also is there an easy way to separate the different details of the model like in the model shown separate the dragon from the skull so I could print them separately and put together after?

I hope that makes sense, I am not that great with blender learning new things constantly and have a tendency to do things alot harder and tedious that it needs to be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
