I have five G5 pros two of them I just bought. I've never ran into this issue before, normally, actually all the time aqara pair flawlessly, but unfortunately I cannot get one of these cameras to pair in the Accara app. Any suggestions? I've pushed a reset button 10 times to reset it. I did the network reset on it. I cannot get it to pair in the damn app. When I try to connect it to Wi-Fi using the 5 GHz network, I even fell back and tried the 2 GHz network, which shouldn't matter because all the other ones are on the 5 GHz. It just kicks back and tells me failed to connect, failed to bind to account. Don't know what to do. Thanks and advance.

My prime day haul.

I already got 2 fp300 aqara doorbell, lock a g5pro

I do plan to add a second fp300 to my living room and add it as a soft sensor to cover my blind spot by my desk. Witch is why I’m upgrading the hub as well. The thermostat will be great for Apple adaptive temp!! Saved $250 some bucks so I’m happy :) Arara is by far my favorite!!

Pro tip /HomeKit g400// in general!

If you have a G400 turn on “IGMP” on your wireless router and thank me later.* *(Normally disabled by default on wireless routers) Even more so if you have your hubs hardwired like I do. But regardless turn it on. IGMP even if your wireless 100%. This is why your HomeKit is losing video clips from time to time even though they are in Aqara. You restart your hub. They work again. Also will speed up your notification ping to your phone. 5 sec or less is my current delivery for my G400 HomeKit notifications.

IGMP definition for those who don’t understand.

Turning off IGMP (Remember it’s disabled by default) (Internet Group Management Protocol) on your network can cause HomeKit cameras to become unresponsive, fail to pair, or stop streaming live video. HomeKit relies on multicast traffic for device discovery and communication, and disabling IGMP can prevent this traffic from reaching your cameras and home hubs.

When it’s disabled by default this is your issue 👇🏻

When it’s disabled - IGMP optimizes multicast traffic by only sending it to devices that request it. If it is enabled but misconfigured or if your cameras do not send proper group-join updates, they may stop receiving multicast broadcasts and appear as "No Response". Disabling snooping (aka turning on IGMP) often resolves these issues on home networks.

Could somebody help me fix my time lapse video settings, please? This is what I have enabled, but when I click time lapse video, it doesn’t show anything. I have some pretty bad storms coming tomorrow, and I’d really like to record them. Thank you!!

Help please

Prior to wiring up this GFI I had an old GFI in my bathroom for many years zero issues it just took a crap no biggie. So I went and got a new GFI and I cannot seem to get this thing to work properly.

Just for reference, here’s a few few notes

I 100% have the hot wire on the correct spot. It’s on the line in I’m 100% sure that is the hot wire coming from the breaker because I tested it with my multimeter. It’s reading 124v it’s a 15 amp breaker.

The bottom black wire is on the load side of the gold screw because it is sending power to a different outlet the bottom black wire does not have incoming power so therefore it goes on the load

The white wires in their current position gives me power but I’m getting a fault as you can hear if you watch the video (see link) if I swap the white wires, I don’t get any power at all!!

The ground wire is properly grounded again (see video link.

All in all this gfi controls the bathroom as it’s hooked in there also a garage outlet and my patio outlet without it I can’t use nothing. Please help. Thank you.

Delayed notifications

As the title says in context the Aqara app is 30-45 seconds behind HomeKit. I think is is crazy considering HomeKit is 3rd party. Aqara is native to the cameras. Suggestions??

Mail app cutting off help!!!

Why is the mail format pushing the page sideways and cutting off what I type when I reply to emails. Was never an issue prior. Has anyone noticed this when replying to emails. Thanks for Tue feedback and help. Rather annoying.

In the USA Aqara dose not offer 12hr time format. I verified this by emailing them. I’m looking to start a chain of comments and upvotes. I’d like to share with Aqara to request this. Please upvote it comment you want 12 hr format if you want them to add this to the camera playback. I’ll give this a week before I send it off.

Any idea when??

Anyone have any insight when this feature is going to be added. Rather than coming soon. I am a dye hard HomeKit fan!! But I’m willing to commit 💯 to my camera notification through Aqara when they add this it’s the only thing holding me back. I like the quick glance from HomeKit but hate the degraded quality that comes with HomeKits cap. This solves my problem I’ll toggle off my activity, Notifications in HomeKit when this goes live.

For no reason at all my cloud history is non existent today on the Aqara app and HomeKit has nothing either but it’s on the SD card. Cloud events are on. I’m so confused 😕

So im not new to this ive wired up many before. The other night my door bell power took a crap after years of working went and got a new transformer hooked it up and dead. Okay got a bad one. Went and got another hooked it up put the volt meter on the nuts reading 12-13 volts on the transformer screws. turned the power off. hooked up the doorbell outside, turned the power back on and dead. Like what the hell is going on. I know the wires to my door bell are good there all new I ran them. Everything is wired up right. Black to black white to white and everything is grounded. What is happening. Any help id be thankful for. for. The transformer I had the door bell wires hooked to the 16v and the middle load screw. Was I hooking the transformer up wrong? This is how ive always hooked them up.
