Venting out haha

Wala ra ko kasabot sa akong dapat ma feel ron.

I met someone online and tbh, okay siya, not physically but I like nga naay purpose sa iyang things ginabuhat sa iyang daily life. Mga hapit nsd mi mag buwan sigeg chat and lately nag video call. I’m starting to get to know him but I feel uncomfortable lang sometimes with his straightforward approach like he asked if I had my tooth checked and fixed because he finds me conscious daw ko about it. I shared naman nga wala because i find it inconvenient mag braces but after ato kay mura kog naluya. He said naman na I am gwapa pero damaged has been done bisag tinuod man sd gyd. Ana sad siya nindot daw ko tandayan, nabuang na. Haha wala na bitaw ko kasabot sa dating scene sa world uy. He has sometimes this flirty remarks sguro pero di man nako bet or sometimes loading ko. Haha Dili pwedeg chismis2 lang mi? Haha

Gipahangyo sa butong

Ni palit kog duha ka butong sa kanang mag tulod pa og kariton nga tindero. The vendor is lalaki nga naa sa 20s pa. Mao to 150php akong gi bayad then wala dy syay sukli so ni ask siya if naa ra koy 10php, ana ko naa ra man sad koy 20php then ako gi hatag ang coins then iya gi balik ang 10php kay 55php nalang daw. Ako na sad gi engnan nga okay ra uy then ana siya kani ra gyd maam. Grateful ko pero for some reason, mas feel nako nga need niya to. Dili baya lalim mag tulod tapos init pa. Anyway, ni lakaw nalang ko kay wala mn gyd niya gi dawat and nag thank you nalang ko and ako lang e ampo nga unta mahatagan siyag more blessings sa iyang life. 🙏

IMY, Papa

It’s been 17 years since you’ve been gone, Pa.
Sometimes I wonder if you’d be proud of me for learning how to get by on my own, or if you’d be disappointed to see the choices I’ve made, the ways I’ve hurt myself while trying to fill the space your absence left behind.

I never thought grief had consumed me this much. Maybe it’s because the bond we shared was never meant to be broken. I know that if you were still here, you would’ve always been by my side. I never would’ve had to tell you when I wasn’t okay, you always knew. You’d quietly stay close, comforting me without saying much, just letting me know I wasn’t alone.

I’m surrounded by people who care for me, and I’m grateful for them. But it’s different when it’s you. No one can ever love me or understand me the way you did. I wish you could’ve been here to witness every success, every failure, every version of me that I’ve become. I wish I could still hear your voice, feel your presence, and know that everything would somehow be okay.

I miss you more than words can ever say. Even after all these years, there’s still a part of me that wishes you were here.

Working under an indecisive manager is making me dread going to work. Advice?

Problem/Goal: I’m struggling with how to professionally deal with a manager who also happens to be a friend of mine. His performance has become a significant source of stress, and it’s reached the point where I dread going to work—not because of the workload, but because of the challenges of working with him.

I’m looking for advice on how to navigate this situation while maintaining professionalism, preserving the friendship if possible, and protecting my own well-being.

Context:
The main issue is what I perceive as his inability to make effective decisions based on situational awareness, urgency, and a clear understanding of what’s happening. He attends meetings but often leaves without providing clear direction, decisions, or meaningful output, causing uncertainty for the rest of the team.

When I offer suggestions, I make a conscious effort to be direct, respectful, and focused strictly on work-related matters. However, he has told me that he feels personally attacked by my feedback, even though my intention is to address operational issues rather than criticize him as a person.

As a result, when decisions are delayed or handled poorly, my team and I frequently have to step in to fix the problems. This often means redoing work, spending additional time and resources, and taking attention away from our own priorities.

I don’t like raising my voice or behaving unprofessionally. Instead, I find myself withdrawing and keeping my distance because our conversations have become frustrating. Unfortunately, avoiding him isn’t realistic since we have to work together regularly.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? How did you handle working with an ineffective manager who is also someone you consider a friend?
