Joke: What's the difference between a sysadmin and an IT Manager?

When you type "power" into windows search, does Powershell or Powerpoint come up first?

---

EDIT

There's a shocking number of people trying this out and replying to "prove" they're sysadmins. An equally surprising number of replies taking down the whole concept of using the start menu search to open an application.

Folks. It's a joke post on r/sysadmin. I can assure you, you're definitely a Sysadmin if you're replying to it.

I wanna come back! Thanks for a great trip!

Oh man! I had the best time in Hawaii this last week. Both my sister and I did a 3 island vacation to Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island! It was one of my favorite vacations I have ever had! Thanks to all the kind people that we met while on the trip!

Mahalo to all the FAs, GAs, CSs and Pilots!

Last week, my sister and I went on a vacation to Hawaii and visited Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island. We flew on Alaska/Hawaiian for the entire trip. For each leg of the trip, we flew from SLC-HNL-OGG-HNL-KOA-HNL-SEA-SLC over the span of one week. I don't recommend this, but we wanted to get as much as we can in one trip.

During each leg, we booked Premium Class (First Class on the island hoppers) with an extra seat since we are plus-sized passengers. On each flight, we had such an amazing crew (Shout out to the FA on her inaugural flight on AS122 Saturday HNL-SEA). They were very kind and accommodating to our needs.

We did have one issue with a flight that I wanted to bring up, but it was very minor and a very first world problem. Because our round trip between HNL-KOA and our trip from HNL-SEA was booked on separate itineraries, we had to go to baggage claim to pick up our bag and recheck it at the gate agent in HNL. Even with that technical issue, the agents at both KOA and HNL were very kind. I do want to mention that, because of the merger, the airport map showed we had to go to Terminal 2 at HNL, but they accepted the bag in Terminal 1, since the plane flew out of gate A10.

For this trip, we also needed assistance over the phone in booking the extra seats and obtaining the upgrades. We were even able to get a refund for the extra seat because the flights weren't full! The phone reps were very kind and knowledgeable about all of our questions! As someone who worked in a call center before, I can understand the stress of dealing with issues. Kindness to your CS, FAs, and Pilots will go a long way to getting what you want and need.

With all that said, I will book with Alaska and Hawaiian for my next vacation, even though SLC is not a main airport for them! (Please expand here!)

Mahalo!

AS1430 SLC to HNL Delays?

Has anyone been on these flights the last three days? I noticed on FlightAware that on Wednesday there was an hour delay, Thursday was a 30 minutes delay, and today (Friday, June 12th) a 2 and a half hour delay. I fly out on this flight on Monday and wanted to see if I need to plan my arrival at HNL accordingly.

Edit: added context

Haven't touched my Windows drive in 5 months

So it has been 5 months since I switched to Linux Mint, and I love every second of it! I just realized that I still have my Windows SSD installed in my computer. I have completely forgotten to touch Windows now that I got everything, and I mean everything (even the wifi 7 USB dongle that started working on kernel version 7) working. What should I do with it? It's only 500 GB, and I already have a 2nd 2TB drive that I use for rsync snapshots. Should I just leave it in my computer for the fond memories of Windows? Take it to the back of the barn? Give it a good ole viking send off?

PS: I also tried other distros (Kubuntu, Arch, Cachyos, etc.) and Linux Mint keeps pulling me back to it 😄

Edit: clarity

Zoom GIF Button Broken

So, yesterday (and today) Zoom decided to break the GIF button, and now I keep getting endless calls on why users can't send GIFs to coworkers. It got so bad that one user escalated it to the CEO, even though I had told them it was an issue on Zoom's end. They said they can't do their job, and we are losing money because they can't send a funny quote to their teammate. Luckily, the CEO is very tech literate (I work at a financial institution) and was on my side. Thanks for letting me rant about a very minor thing that a user decided to make it their whole life story.

Edit: as of this posting, its still broken for users.
