First bike - Triumph vs Honda

Hey guys,

This week I’m going to check out two different 650cc bikes because I’m finally about to buy my first motorcycle.

After considering bikes like the SV650, Z650, Interceptor 650 and Z650RS, I’ve narrowed it down to these two finalists:

  • Triumph Trident 660 (€6,590) with luggage racks and touring accessories
  • Honda CB650R E-Clutch (€8,990)

I honestly can’t decide between them.

The Triumph seems like a great value for the price, especially already equipped for light touring, and I really like its overall style and versatility. But I’ve also read quite a few comments about the rear suspension not being very comfortable or refined.

On the other hand, the Honda is much more expensive, but the inline-4 engine feels really special to me. With all the current emissions regulations, I’m also wondering if bikes like this will even still exist in a few years.

The Honda also has the E-Clutch system, which honestly seems like a pretty cool feature for daily riding and learning.

What would you guys choose as a first bike and why?

Thanks in advance!

First bike ?

Hey guys, just a simple question, I will buy my first bike soon, and it’s definitely not an easy choice. There are a lot of great japanese bikes, or even german or Italian. But for some reason I really like this Triumph Trident 660. I didn't had the opportunity to try it yet, but do you think it would be a good idea for a first bike ?

I just got my hands on these amazing 9011 for only 120€, what a bargain, they became instantly one of my favorite pair of RW.
