I recently shipped some dolls to the USA, and FedEx sent me an email requesting documentation from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This is the first time I’ve been asked for something like this.

They mentioned I need to complete either a form for Registered Goods or one for Non‑Registered Goods, but I’m not sure where to find the information required to fill these out.

Has anyone dealt with this before or could share some advice? Thank you!

Constantly people that ask me to ship them something they get discourage because of the shipping cost.

I usually only ship with FedEx or DHL, but my average shipping cost is about $1,100 MXN (around $60 USD) for 1 KG. Without Tariffs or taxes.

I usually don't offer regular mail. It's cheaper, but super unreliable and a pain: you have to pack everything in the post office because they need to see what you're shipping; there's no way to know the cost online; sometimes their system is down or their POS is not working and they only take cash. And to top it off, sometimes Mexpost opens packages and steals stuff, so I'd rather not use it.

So I'd like to know what's your average shipping cost?

Actualmente tengo tres TDC, Invex Despegar, Banorte Platinum y HSBC Viva. De las tres, creo la de Invex Despegar es la que me da más por mis puntos. La de HSBC con sus puntos Doters ni valen la pena porque no puedo usar mis puntos para pagar todo el boleto, a fuerzas debo desembolsar efectivo. La de Banorte está 2/3, he notado que depende de la aerolínea y el destino los puntos valen diferente. Anteriormente he tenido AMEX Platinum pero la terminé cancelando porque ya ni me daban buenas promociones.

Ahorita estaba considerando la TDC de Revolut porque tienen convenio con muchas aerolíneas y no se ve mal.

En su experiencia ¿Cuál es la TDC qué te da más por tus puntos?

I have been using the app for almost a month now and it's incredible! I wasn't planning on buying the subscription because I thought it would not be worth it, specially because paying the whole year is quite too much for me. El 24 de Mayo hice una compra en una tienda de ropa en línea mexicana y es fecha que no recibo el pedido y tardan días en contestar. Según tienen muchos pedidos pero ya no quiero esperar, y quiero el reembolso. Pagué con Mercadopago pero con ellos solo puedes reclamar en los primeros 14 días.

La compra la hice con una TDC Invex. Mi duda es ¿se puede abrir un reclamo con el banco por compra no recibida?

Hasta ahora tengo entendido que se pueden abrir por cargos no reconocidos pero sé si también por compra no recibida. ¿O será mejor meter el reclamo como cargo no reconocido? Al final no tienen pruebas de entrega porque no me lo han dado.

I'm in a bit of a pickle with an active order. We agreed on the price and everything, and I've got the client's stuff ready to ship. But the buyer's been totally unresponsive for over a week now. They seem to log in every day, so they're definitely ignoring me. I've contacted Fiverr support twice, and they've also tried reaching the buyer with no luck. Now I'm just waiting for Fiverr support to tell me what to do next.

Since I've already put work and money into this order, I can't offer a full refund. We even talked about this beforehand, and my terms clearly stated no full refunds.

But I'm worried Fiverr will make me cover the costs and just give the buyer a full refund. I really need the money and can't afford to just eat the cost of this gig.

Someone placed an order with me to ship from Mexico to Tunisia, and I've noticed some suspicious details. First, they requested a phone holder be shipped to an incomplete address in Tunisia, missing a street number.

Additionally, the payment was made using a Swiss Mastercard, but the transaction originated from a French IP address flagged as a proxy.

To make matters more confusing, the email address used belongs to a shop in Germany.

What's going on here? It's just an unbranded phone holder that can be easily purchased on AliExpress for under $15 USD, yet the shipping cost from Mexico to Tunisia would be around $100 USD. The transaction doesn't make sense financially.

Am I being paranoid? I think I'll cancel this transaction. The issue is that the buyer sent the item to my address, and I'm unsure if they can initiate a return. However, given these red flags, I no longer feel comfortable proceeding. What would you guys do?

I send packages to people all over the world and I want them to pay as little tax as possible. For the purpose of shipment, would it make a difference if I put GIFT or NOT SOLD instead of SOLD?

Or does it really not matter, and the recipient would end up paying the same for customs duties?
