hey everyone, a new friend(whos over 18) i made who is from turkey have recently opened up to me about her situation growing up until now, she said that she grew up in a traditional household with terrible parents, describing it as being their "puppet" and being treated as a "trophy", she's only been at home since childhood and only usually went out for school.

She also described her relatives as traditional, hence making it difficult for her to escape from this agonizing situation, which might lead into forced marriage in the future, which really made me angry because what year is it now??

My question is, is there anyone who may have went through the same situation as her and can give meaningful advice? or perhaps an organization that can help with her situation? she has no job and no money which really made things difficult, TIA!

UPDATE : turns out she was born in iraq but grew up in turkey her whole life, and now has been living in iraq for a year, this makes things a little bit difficult, might post this in iraq subs too.
