How does Survivor Benefit Program work?

I served in the military and retired. Have been paying into the plan for 10 years, and just reached 60 last month. I met my spouse following military service. I added spouse and three children as beneficiaries on my SBP. Spoke with DFAS this week and informed them I will be getting a divorce. DFAS informed that “since you were married following your military service, your spouse will be removed as the beneficiary once the divorce is final. I will have to elect a new beneficiary. Does this seem correct? Has anyone experienced this? Once I add a new beneficiary and later die, how long/how much would the new beneficiary receive monies? Are there any financial hazards that I should avoid, or not forget? Thank you.

Question about the Survivor’s Benefit Plan (SBP)

If my spouse served in the military until 2005, which was prior to our marriage, and his service was re-characterized in 2015 to medical retirement and he added me to his SBP, and I divorce him, can he remove me from his SBP if I want to remain as the SBP beneficiary? If he remarries, can he add his new wife to his SBP and remove me? I’m ready to answer your questions and appreciate your attention. Thank you.

Ceiling Fan Lights Only

Have two ceiling fans with lights. One is installed on the first floor. The second ceiling fan is installed on the third floor. Both ceiling fans are operated by a wall switch or remote control. One ceiling fan light will flick on for a fraction of a second and then turn off, when using the wall switch. A few months later, the other ceiling fan stopped working as well. The ceiling fan light will flick on for a fraction of a second and then turn off, when using the wall switch. Could this be a coincidence? Why would both ceiling fan lights only come on for less than a second when the wall switch is flipped on. The ceiling fans are identical make and models. After the first fan light started doing this, a few months later, the other fan started doing the same thing, I now have two ceiling fans with the same problems, Anyone have this happen to you Thank you.

Real Estate Investing for Novice

I currently live in the mid-Atlantic region. Currently have a residence with some equity. Owe about 40% of the original amount that I borrowed just a few years ago with 2.25% VA-fixed and ~ 2,200 square feet. Goal is to sell current residence and scale into something 800-1300 square feet at ~ $180-$200 per square foot with no mortgage or five-figure mortgage. Currently have five-figure amount saved, and lower six-figure amount in equity in my current residence, as mentioned earlier. Children are 17, 15, and 13. Need ideas and advice on investing five-figure savings in commodities, commercial real estate or elsewhere. I lack imagination as well as investment experience. Advice and/or sharing knowledge appreciated. Thank you.

I can now send (and) receive email in my Gmail account and my Apple Mail app, but all of the emails that I have sent since Tuesday are not in my Sent folder. For an unknown reason, my sent messages since Tuesday are residing in my Trash folders on both platforms (Gmail) and Apple (Mail ) app. Anyone know why this is happening and how to correct it?

In past two days, I have been unable to send anyone email. I do not receive any error messages. I can receive messages all day long and twice on Sunday. If I use my Apple Mail app, I hear the sound you normally hear when sending someone email, and I can see that emails go to the Outbox folder for a few seconds and then the Outbox folder is emptied as if the message was sent, but there are no emails in the sent folder. Has this happened to anyone? I cannot send messages from the Gmail app either. Email connection is solid, Google storage is only at 16%,and I have restarted my mobile device and used Google AI and Dorks.
