Anyone watching the eclipse in Nottingham?
Curious if anyone’s planning to watch the eclipse if so, where are you thinking of going? Trying to work out the best spot in Nottingham with a clear, unobstructed view depending on the sun’s direction somewhere high up or open with no buildings/trees in the way would be ideal. Any recommendations welcome!

Quick review: Spud Bros Express
Just tried their new spot and got the Garlic Chilli Chicken Spud (comes loaded with chilli garlic chicken, tram sauce, crispy onions, raita, coriander, cheese, and chillies) plus a Sprite Zero. Came to £12.35.
Honestly, the food tastes really good; proper flavorful and the toppings are solid. Only thing is the price is still quite steep for what it is. Decent spot if you’re in the area and fancy a decent feed, but might think twice if you’re watching the budget.
Personal take; but ofc everyone’s got different opinions, so fair play if you feel otherwise!

Best starting projector to play around with projector mapping
hey, i’m not sure if this is the right group to ask this but i might just go for it. I am trying to get into project mapping and will start from within my apartment. Is there any recommendations for what projector should I go with? I live in the UK and I can get stuff from Facebook marketplace or can buy new stuff as well. I’d say my budget is below £100. Thanks!

Looking for lads to hang with in Notts, anyone else find it weirdly hard to make friends post uni?
Graduated in Nottingham, stayed here, and slowly watched basically everyone I knew either move back home or disappear abroad. Still here in 2026 doing the whole work-girlfriend-adulting thing and it’s fine but man the lack of a proper boys group hits different than I expected.
Not really sure what I thought would happen after uni but it wasn’t this lol
26M if that helps. Into pubs, beer, cricket, bit of football, travel. Nothing intense, no drama, just genuine chill time with decent people. The kind of group where you can suggest a pub on Saturday with zero agenda and someone actually shows up.
Anyone else in a similar situation or know people who are? Would be good to get something going even if it starts with a few of us grabbing a pint somewhere. Notts has too many good pubs to be drinking alone ngl

Got a DDJ-FLX4. Just starting out.
I think this is something better learned with someone fumbling through it together, laughing at the bad transitions, slowly figuring it out. That sounds like a good time to me.
