Baby's belly: what does this look like?

Baby's belly: what does this look like?

Hello; a few days ago, our baby had one small round red spot. My spouse thought perhaps had accidentally clipped his skin in a car seat of high chair buckle..we covered with a bandaid that we have switched out daily, but now his stomach looks like this... It's just gotten worse/more spots have appeared day by day.

Could this be an allergic reaction to the adhesive on the original Band-Aid? An infection/fungal rash? Some kind of baby belly disease?

I'm going to call the pediatrician first thing when they open Monday, but maybe this is a common issue with an easy fix at the drug store, And I could start helping him out right away. I don't want to under or overreact.

He does keep saying " boo boo hurts" and asking me to kiss it, but he's only one and a half. So I don't know how much it actually hurts first how much he is aware there is something there, and he thinks the procedure is that parents are supposed to kiss it better.

Thank you.

Can anyone explain these ROM numbers?

Hello:

I had my Pao last week, and I am looking at the surgical notes, including my pre and post app range of motion.

Can anybody break down/ explain specifically what types of movements they checked when it was under anesthesia to get these numbers.

For example : I think the first one is saying my full extension is 120 degrees, but measured from where to where, and what is the/zero mean? Is it zero because it's starting at straight leg and they couldn't bend through the table when I was laying on my back?

Some of my numbers changed before and after according to the notes, I'm just trying to understand what may be different now.

ROM: F/E 120/0; IRF/ERF 30/70; ADDuction flexion 30; ABDuction flexion 70.

Where are the cucumelons? (And other quirky or heirloom produce)

I know we are lucky to have so many farms/farmstands in this area.

Does anyone have a suggestion for any that are offering up more unusual produce, especially in Hampshire or Franklin Counties? Tomatoes I can find, sunchokes have been rarer the last few years.

I used cucumelon in the subject line just because I realized I haven't seen them in probably two years. I know they may not actually even be in season this very minute, but that gives an idea of what I'm looking for.

Help decorate my surgery recovery chair

Hi folks:

I am having a big surgery this week. During my recovery, I'm not allowed to lay on my couch , typically my favorite spot. I am not currently strong enough to open a regular recliner (I tested them in the store. )

So I kind of panic-bought this electric recliner to be my main recovery zone.

It serves my needs just fine, but the color I got is so boring (dark blue, the only one that was in stock and I needed it ASAP), and it looks like a like a grandpa chair to me.

This will be my main spot for 12 weeks, so I want to make it a little more fun. I think the right way to go is with a cover, which I've never purchased before. I know I may need to snip a slot for access to the power buttons.

Help I'm looking for

  1. Do you have a similar recliner with a cover they you can share so I get an idea of how these covers look in use,? The ones I'm seeing online look too perfect and not realistic I fear.

  2. Any reliable sources for a fun cover (whether it's a solid bright color or a pattern). I don't shop from Amazon, but I'm pretty overwhelmed about where to start with all of the other other sources.

  3. If you have a different suggestion, I'm open!

I know that recovering from an intense surgery is more important than how cute my chair is, but I just think I'll be that little speck happier in something that is not dark blue.

Thank you!

How would you approach mixing up this color?

This is a picture of the river that runs by my house. I'm struggling with how to best approach color matching. If you were going to mix something up to be this color, how would you approach it? Or maybe someone knows a "pretty close" color name.

I'm leaving out which paints I have because I can imagine starting in so many places and tweaking, and the list is long. I'd rather just hear what you would do with your paints. Thank you!

Stained glass image ID?

Hello: does anyone know what the stained glass in our cottage window is supposed to represent? A particular flower? A scepter? A mantis pinching a pearl?

Thank you!

Contact paper over plaster holes?

We recently moved into a small old house. There is a linen closet which I really appreciate in theory, but in practice some of the plaster has holes in it/ is a bit cracked.

I suppose a medium range project would be to pull out the shelves, take down the plaster, and put up drywall instead. But it's really not high on the list of priorities since we have only lived here for a week.

I'm wondering if there's any downside to covering the plaster with something like contact paper.

I am a little bit skeeved out at the thought of putting fresh towels or linens in this closet as it is, But would be okay with a temporary fix, even if it's a little goofy looking.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Transplanting for a move?

I know the answer is that I should have transplanted this when it was dormant, but I didn't have notice.

I am moving to the next town over, and I have loved this bleeding heart for 12 years. I would love to be able to take it with me, but maybe I missed the boat here.

Does anyone have any advice besides " take a few pictures and say goodbye"?

Paint color suggestions

Hello! I posted to ask a few months ago, but the house was very snowy then. This new-to-me house needs some exterior TLC and I would love any ideas for new (period appropriate, we aren't going for stark modern b&w) colors.

Roof is okay, and I'm keeping in mind how visible it is when thinking about colors.

Thank you for any thoughts here.
