Help me complete my reading challenge!

I have a personal reading challenge I've been trying to complete since 2024 and I'm finally committed to finishing it by the end of the year. I'm looking for books that fit the following prompts :

Sobriety

A book where the main character is sober, and navigating addiction and recovery.

Already on my radar :

  • Season of Love by Helena Greer

Foster Care/Adoption

A book where the main character has been in foster care and/or adopted OR takes care of a child in foster care and/or adopts.

Already on my radar :

  • Monstrous: A Transracial Adoption Story by Sarah Myer
  • The Haunting of Alejandra by V. Castro
  • I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm by Mariama J. Lockington
  • What the Woods Took by Courtney Gould

Book About Books

A book that centers the importance and beauty of storytelling.

Already on my radar :

  • Gather Me: A Memoir in Praise of the Books That Saved Me by Glory Edim

Chronic Illness or Pain

A book that features a main character with chronic illness or pain.

Already on my radar :

  • One For All by Lillie Lainoff

Long-Distance Relationship

A book that features a main character in a long-distance relationship. It doesn't have to be a romance, but I guess that's probably the most likely genre.

Assistive Technology

A book that features a disabled main character who uses assistive technology (e.g.: wheelchair, cane, mobility aids, hearing aids, specialized software, etc.).

Already on my radar :

  • The Unbroken by C.L. Clark

Translated Book

A book that was originally written in a language other than English, but that has been translated in English.

Already on my radar :

  • Thirst by Marina Yuszczuk, translated by Heather Cleary

I'm open to any genre, either adult or YA, and mainly looking for fiction since the prompts don't really make sense with nonfic. Prioritizing books written by queer authors or authors of colour. Thanks!
