Secretlab Customer Service: Premium price, bottom-tier experience (Months of waiting, empty promises, and ghosting)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my recent experience with Secretlab. When you buy a "premium" chair, you expect premium support. Well, my experience has been one of the worst customer service journeys I’ve ever had, filled with endless delays, broken promises, and ghosting. Long story short, I placed an order which was never delivered.

Due to a major family tragedy, I couldn't follow up immediately. When I finally reached out by sending my first email on May 18th, the nightmare began. They take ages to reply to every single message, and I’ve had to fight and send multiple follow-ups just to get basic updates.

After weeks of back-and-forth, senior support finally agreed to a one-time exception for a full refund via bank transfer. I filled out their official document and sent my IBAN details on June 16th.

Since then, it has been a cycle of unfulfilled promises. On top of ghosting my previous follow-ups, I was explicitly promised on June 28th that I would receive a response within 12 to 24 hours. Guess what? I got absolutely nothing. They completely lied about getting back to me and have gone radio silent since.

They officially approved the refund, got my bank details, and now they just disappear. It is honestly exhausting to have to fight, beg, and deal with false timelines from a company that prides itself on being a market leader.

If you are thinking about buying from them, be aware that if anything goes wrong, you will be lied to and left completely in the dark.

Extremely disappointed.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of ghosting and fake response windows after a refund approval?

Is the Noctua water cooling pump really quiet?

Hello,

I currently have a Fractal North XL and a Phantom Spirit 120SE, with a 9800x3D and a 5090.

However, I’d like to switch to the Antec Flux Pro Noctua Edition with the Noctua NL-LC1-42 water cooling system. But I’m mainly trying to find out if the pump is quiet.

Also, do you really think the Noctua NL-ACF1 is useful? How quiet is it?

Thanks for your answers

Signed, someone who’s very particular about noise levels.

MK8.5 R (14k km) vs MK8.5 GTI Clubsport (1.8k km) - First hot hatch, need help deciding!

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to buy my very first hot hatch, and I’m currently torn between two incredible MK8.5 options. I really can't decide which route to take and would love some input from people who know these cars inside out.

Here are the two contenders (both are completely full options):

  1. MK8.5 Golf GTI Clubsport
    • Mileage: 1,800 km (Basically brand new, smells new, flawless)
    • Price: Base baseline for my budget
    • Specs: 300 hp, FWD with the front locker
  2. MK8.5 Golf R
    • Mileage: 14,000 km (Clearly driven for a year, potential minor wear/tear)
    • Price: €5,000 - €6,000 more expensive than the Clubsport
    • Specs: 333 hp, AWD (4MOTION with torque vectoring)

My Dilemma: I absolutely love the feeling of having a "new" car. The Clubsport is practically fresh out of the showroom, has zero history, and leaves me with an extra €5k–6k in my pocket.

On the other hand, the Golf R is the ultimate tier. The AWD traction, the 333 hp, and that performance gap are tempting. But at 15k km, it's a proper used car—tires might be worn, the break-in period is a mystery, and it's stretching my budget further.

Given that this is my first ever hot hatch, which one would you pick? Is the AWD and extra power of the R worth €6,000 and 13,000 more kilometers, or is a brand new Clubsport the smarter, more fun introduction to the scene?

Appreciate any advice!
