First pair of Russell’s

First time wearing the Grand Slam Sheep hunters. Glad to have found them, as they look to be pretty much brand new and unworn.

Work belt “keeper” issue.

I recently got this Classic Work Belt in the mail. This thing is clearly built well, and is thicker than I expected. The one issue I see with it is that the leather loop that holds the end of the belt seems like it just isn’t big enough for a belt this thick. I’ve never had any issue sliding the end of a belt through the keeper loop like this, and I’ve had several leather belts before.

It’s tight to the point where I can’t do it one handed. Is this standard with nicks belts, or did nicks make the loop too small? It’s so tight that I don’t see how it would get much better with wear.

I’m not trying to simply complain here. I’m curious if anyone else has had the same experience, or thoughts on the issue. Does it get better with wear? Wanted to check in before I contacted nicks about it.

Any info on these boots?

Howdy!

I emailed Russell Moccasin several days ago to inquire about these boots, and I haven’t heard anything back. I emailed, since I couldn’t find a phone number. Is their customer service slow right now, or is this normal on their end?

Since I haven’t heard anything from them, I’m hoping someone here can tell me anything about these boots. When were they made? What’s the red lining? Any other info about these boots?

Thanks!

Family Photo

Just wanted to post a picture of all of my saws. I was given the MS310, MS210, and 019T (all from different folks), and bought the MS362 and the 220C for myself. Haven’t had a need for anything much bigger yet, but that could change!

2026 Syrup

Not sure why it’s taken me this long to post, but here’s my very small haul from this year. I tried a dedicated evaporator over a propane stove, instead of pots over a fire pit. I feel like the propane cost isn’t worth it. Next year I’ll build a small evaporator out of cinder blocks, and use free fire wood.
