My total investment budget would be around $20,000–$40,000 USD. I’m interested in something practical, scalable, and in demand locally or regionally.

Does anyone have suggestions on what type of factory or manufacturing business would make sense in Rwanda with this budget? I’m open to ideas in areas like food processing, packaging, construction materials, agriculture related products, recycling, or consumer goods.

I’m looking for some advice from Muslims in Minnesota or people familiar with nikkah/wedding costs in the Twin Cities area.

I’m not originally from Minnesota, so I’m trying to understand what is normal or reasonable locally. The mahr being discussed is gold-based and would come out to a large five-figure amount if paid upfront. Alhamdulillah, affordability is not the main issue, but the number feels big to me and I also do not want to openly mention exact amounts because of evil eye and privacy.

A few questions:

1. In Minnesota, what mahr ranges have people commonly seen for Muslim marriages?
2. Is a large gold-based mahr considered normal in some communities, or would that be seen as unusually high?
3. For a simple nikkah ceremony with food and a venue for around 60–130 people, what should I realistically budget?
4. For those who had a simple nikkah instead of a full wedding, what did you spend overall?

I’m trying to keep things respectful, reasonable, and financially wise while still honoring the bride and her family. I would appreciate real numbers or examples from people who have recently gone through this in Minnesota or nearby states.
