Possibly failed THC infused butterscotch syrup ?
So I'm a barista and right now I've been making homemade coffee syrups. I thought it would be a good idea to make a coffee syrup with canna butter. This is my first time making edibles so I'm not sure where I went wrong. I have a very high tolerance but usually don't consume edibles so my edible tolerance isn't that high.
Based on my calculations each serving (tablespoon) should be about 55mg of THC. Seems good right? But when I taste it I don't really feel anything. It certainly smells like weed when I open the jar but I don't feel the effects much. Maybe someone can tell me what I've done wrong:
I used 14g of weed for 2 cups of butter, only 1 cup of canna butter was used for this syrup.
Decarbed at 220F for 40 mins in a mason jar in the oven
Then infused with 2 cups of butter in mason jar on stove top for 2.5hrs
Let the butter cool and added it to my syrup mixture
Is there a step I missed or is my calculation incorrect? I still have 1 cup of the cannabutter left, should I try to re-infuse again to make it stronger?
