Essie is very gracious and tougher than Joyce IMO

Essie took a lot of crap and was taken for granted in many ways.

From finding out about Jonasi and Joyce, to having to lie about her spouse, to playing the third wheel, to raising Sarah and Freedom alone, to being shut out from accessing Jonasi towards the end.

The fact that she never snapped in a diabolical way is beyond me; she sure is a tough woman. I don't think Joyce could have dealt with all that. Especially considering Essie didn't have the access to financial resources that Joyce enjoyed.

Do Nigerian children still play outdoor games ?

I've noticed that I rarely see children playing the outdoor games I enjoyed growing up like suwe, catcher, ten-ten, boju boju, tinko, I call on, who is in the garden, etc... I occasionally see them play street football but not these other games.

Nigerian outdoor games

Are Nigerian kids getting more sedentary, are most of their games now on digital spaces or are these outdoor games still being played and I'm just not noticing? Is insecurity a concern for parents who prevent their kids from playing outside like before?

Dr. Bear

Just stumbled upon a painting I made at a coffee and paint event in 2017 or 2018 while going through my stuff and thought to share.
