When it’s 103 degrees on the East Coast. It’s unfortunate that there are months out of the year where I can no longer order from this company because they don’t ship their products in a way that maintains any quality in the product.
I figured while life is disrupted, I’d share how things are going and maybe get updates from people that had surgery close to mine.
Surgery: April 30th @ 3 pm ish
Meds: Prescribed Oxycodone 5 mg every 6 hours, 600 mg ibuprofen and 500 mg Tylenol rotating every 3 hours.
Food & Drink: Ice cold water, clear whey protein (diluted to less than half) Mashed potatoes, completely puréed cauliflower and Parmesan soup, ice cream, sugar free chocolate pudding made with Fairlife Milk for extra protein.
I was able to eat pretty well up until today but the back of my tongue hurts and everything feels like it stings. So I’m just focused on drinking water, my clear protein drink and I’m going to try some bone broth later. My biggest focus has been protein so I can heal as fast as possible.
Pain is starting to ramp up, but not unbearable at this point. I have been super diligent about my meds, even setting alarms to wake up throughout the night and take them. I also set an alarm to wake up every hour and have something to drink throughout the night. I’m as mentally prepared as I can be for what’s about to come. I’ve seen TikTok’s YouTube videos and read things here and it sounds like it’s about to be horrible.
