Review: Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead power liquid as a body brightening product
Actually I’ve only been using this as a face product but a few weeks ago due to shaving and the extreme heat in my area, my armpits and arms suddenly got super hyper pigmented. Turns out glycolic acid (the main ingredient of cosrx, with 7% concentration) is super effective for targeting hyperpigmentation, so naturally I started using it.
Whenever I use it, its usually right after showering and I apply more lotion on the areas I want to brighten, then I apply the cosrx liquid. It can be more effective if its cosrx liquid first THEN lotion but youd have to wait like 15-30 for it to really be absorbed before u add the lotion cuz your body’s skin is a lot thicker than ur face. So lotion then cosrx liquid cuts on the time.
Ive been applying it non-consecutively but it was on the 3rd day that I really saw a noticeable difference. Im a brown girlie, so like trust me when I say I have hyperpigmentation. My armpits arent that dark but like on the 3rd day they suddenly got so even I had to shave my arms to really check lol. I dont have any images unfortunately but just for some context itd be like if it went from a light grey to a super super light grey.
For my arms, especially on my elbows, im on the 5th non-consecutive day and yes theyve definitely evened out. My elbows are like dark dark, like almost blackish dark before and now its just like brownish in colour now. still pigmented but its a noticeable difference, in what, 5 days? thats crazy. Atp my underarms are even already.
Actually, the main reason why I made this post is to just remind everyone that you dont need fancy, new, or expensive products. Cosrx is in general really cheap compared to other k-products and it comes in testers that I think are like less than 5-7 dollars. But ig it depends on where youre from cuz shipping. Plus unlike most brightening products, its not like a small tube of cream so it wont be finished after a few uses (specifically if used on the body).
id rate this a 10/10 on affordability, efficiency, amount available, and versatility.
(also really good for whiteheads yall, mine clear in just one night lol.)
