It's winter break, and you have absolutely nothing to do. The winter doldrums had set in, heavy and stagnant, weeks of empty break stretching out ahead, the days threatened to blur into a monotonous cycle of screens and cold coffee.

Then you read the mail.

You expected it to be boring, junk mail after junk mail, then, you saw the brochure. It was like an anomaly in the daily junk mail. Glossy, thick-pampered, bold, and carrying the faint scent of an overseas printing press. It advertised a comprehensive, weeks-long getaway to the Federal Republic of Tajrstan. With nothing but time to burn, you went on the internet with a few thousand bucks and got off with a booked ticket.

On your way to the airport, late-night internet searches quickly filled out the logistics and your attention. The guide meeting the arrivals would be Ito Gamoy, a man in his late forties easily spotted in a utilitarian uniform of a worn brown jacket, a tan postal cap, and pressed grey trousers, leading a horizon-spanning transit from the rain-slicked Great West to the permafrost of the Far East.

The primary vessel would be the rails, though reaching the easternmost coast required a maritime crossing. To ease the journey, tourists were granted a daily stipend of 150 Tajrstani Arkuraz (₴150.00) for local delicacies and obscure regional souvenirs, alongside full board and functional satellite Wi-Fi. The only strict rule in the itinerary's fine print was the mandate of a travel partner: losing your assigned buddy was strictly forbidden.

As you got off from the cabin of the commercial airliner to face the tarmac of Našjtek (Нашьтек / نشِتكُ), the first thing in your face was a sudden assault of crisp, unfamiliar air. Stepping into the westernmost gateway of Tajrstan, the foreign geography immediately set in. Mounted directly onto the terminal's brutalist concrete wall was a massive map of the airport. You could see the text in three lines: the familiar English, the bold Zykroje, and the elegant Tajrstani Arabic, for some reason written in Nastaliq.

Navigating through the crowd by following the translated signs, you pushed through the glass doors of the Eastern Exit. True to the brochure, Ito Gamoy stood waiting. Without a word, he called the waiting tourists forward, guiding the way down to the platforms where the legendary North Oriental Tajrstani Express (N.O.T.E) lay in idle.

You reach your seat, obviously taking the window seat, because who doesn't want to, as your assigned travel buddy sits on the seat across from your four-seater table. He is Synitova A. B. Zystovakovïć, a semi-retired military officer now looking to live life to the fullest instead of chasing military honor.

You nod.

>"Same. Though I have some souvenirs from a few of my friends who live here."

He gives you a miniature Tajrstani flag, chuckling to himself a bit.

This is the Federal Republic of Tajrstan, a small-but-not-small nation in the north of the Oriental Robloxian Far East.

After the revolutions that broke up the Transbloxian Soviet Socialist Republics (TBSSR) in 2001, this post-Soviet state designed this flag for the nation. Even with the hammer and sickle on the flag, Tajrstan is not communist, nor is it socialist. It is a Federal Presidential Constitutional Republic.

Though I need feedback here. Is it good enough? Do I need to change anything?

I'm bored, I have nothing to do or anything to think of, and I really wanna post here. So here's an attempt at trying to do something at least: Basmala in Zykroje and Tajrstani, but I wrote the Zykroje translation in the Tajrstani abjad and the Tajrstani translation in the Zykroje alphabet.

For the Tajrstani (تَاجِرصْتَان) language (below):

وِأَلْؤَآن آلِير، اللَّامْگَرَشَا، اللَّامْگَرَشَا.

That becomes

For the Zykroje (Зүкроэ) language (above):

I made this cool emblem for the Zystovakoja National Council of Disaster Risk (Нацюнал Конескошка ѣ Катастрофүкор Ріск в Зүстовакоя), which has a syllabic abbreviation (Накокастріск) . Rate it!

yeah he does talk like that (via textboxes), idk what kinda language that thing is speaking originally (noo i forgot to pic it) but he's learned to speak in english.

this lil' goober actually counts as some sort of anomaly in my pc. don't be scared though and wishing that i don't die, instead it went like this:

when i first met him he was just a piece of code, he took the form of a folder and we communicated via audio (morse code), then we started talking via ms word (i typed in what i wanted to say, he took over the program and typed in his response). to say the least we're friends now

things ive learned abt him:

• his name is arctan.45 (can also go by arctan or just tan)
• he doesn't know his true gender or if he has one in the first place, but for now he prefers to go by male pronouns
• he doesn't know where he came from
• since he doesn't know where he came from, the day he first awoke in my pc (apparently 14yrs ago) he considers as his birthday
• this entity can possess technical devices (folders, programs, etc)
• he doesn't like to stay outside as just pure code, so that's why he wants to take over stuff, so technically it's both a shell of him and him itself
• even in his tangible robloxian form, he can still climb out of the roblox player and run around my pc and do stuff

uh, also, he sometimes types stuff on my acc btw, so sometimes im responding then other times he's responding so this account technically belongs to both of us. fortunately he's also learned to identify himself when typing. I'll let him respond to whatever y'all say to/about him.

This is the Republic of Zystovakoja (Республүкоя Зүстовакоя), full name being the New Federal Republic of the United Provinces of Zystovakoja. I made a flag for it, I decided that it would be a little complex, so that it could represent the cultures within said country, and I made this.

I want some ratings and criticisms on this flag, and if you have opinions on what I should change on this flag, go ahead and do one of two:

• Tell me in text form, what I should change
• Make a redesign of the flag itself in image form, send it, and explain to me what you changed (I'll allow this, you have consent)

Current meanings of the symbols on the Flag of Zystovakoja:

• Red with blue diamonds: The red represents the blood shed by the revolutionaries that fought for the Zystovakošky Rebellion for Independence on 2004, shattering the TCSSR, giving independence to the Zystovakošky SSD, and also giving independence to the other SSRs in the TCSSR. The blue diamonds are a physical remnant of the banners they used in the fighting, taken off of the banners and re-sewn onto the flag.
• The yellow-blue tricolor: The first yellow band represents the wheat of the southern farmers, situated where the temperatures are a bit warmer. The blue represents the sea, the sky, and the freedom of those who sail or fly it. The third yellow band is the gold of the goldworkers and goldminers in the north, where it is too cold to farm, but the mountains are abundant in gold.
• Sun and Crescent: Represents the ancient history in which "they were old enough to have seen the sun separate from the moon". (Folklore)
• Patterns: These were meant to be traditional patterns but I couldn't afford to make custom patterns without lagging my device so I used the Kazakh patterns as a template and honestly, I think they look ​cooler.

So uh, I'd love your advice, suggestions, and redesigns! Helps me understand what this community is about. (first timer here btw).

hi, I'm new here :D

This is my conlang Zykroje, ntional language of Zystovakoja, and I'm proud of it.
AMA abt it. Just want a friend and small advice here, and also to see how the community flows so I can flow with it.

(Note that this is my first impression with y'all here, prob will not forget what you'll do here LOL)

(DISCLAIMER: This post primarily contains my own custom worldbuilding (examples being East and West Robloxia instead of just Robloxia, etc), so you do not need to include yours unless it's absolutely required or if it's cool enough, and I accept it.)

In Zykroje there's like, 8 normal common punctuation symbols and like, 8 other random things for no absolute reason.

Most of the 8 redundant symbols are either:

• Too hard / time consuming for me to write down in conversation
• Probably don't even exist as a Unicode symbol

so I either just use a similar symbol, replace it, or don't use it at all.

How about you guys? Any "what the hell were these civilizations thinking when they made these punctuation symbols" punctuation systems or so?
