Hi, just stopping by to share my experience. It’s a mixed bag.

Shoe quality: Prada sneakers 8.5–9/10; Gucci mules 10/10

Seller: 7/10. Ling is very sweet, responsive, and helpful. However, she gave me incorrect sizing guidance that ultimately cost me $130. No remedy was offered other than sending me an insert to attempt to make the shoes fit, which I declined.

Orders, timelines, and results
I’ve placed three orders and have received two so far.

8/13: Inquired about Prada sneakers for my husband. Ling was very responsive, and I ended up placing an order that day.

8/14: Inquired about and ordered a pair of Gucci mules. I ordered a size 43. Based on the size chart provided, a 43 corresponded to a foot length of 26.5 centimeters.

8/20: Received PSPs for the Prada sneakers. Ling pointed out an area of the shoe that had a tiny amount of glue residue. I told her it wasn’t a concern. I did flag a couple of things, and Ling provided a video so I could get a better look. I wasn’t completely sure about the things I flagged, but I gave the green light. I figured it wouldn’t be a big deal if my husband didn’t like the shoes in person. At $105 shipped, the cost wouldn’t break me.

8/21: GL to the Pradas.
8/22: Sneakers shipped.

8/28: Received PSPs for the Gucci mules. Ling pointed out a couple of spots on the sole and insole. They were not an issue—the shoes looked beautiful. However, the insole measured 28.5 centimeters. I told Ling they would be too big. I ordered a 43 and expected them to be around 27 cm. I could do 27.5 cm at the most.

Ling told me not to worry. She basically said that because of the shoe design, “the shoes won’t go all the way to the front; there will be a decorative length of 0.5 to 1 cm.” I trusted what I was told instead of my gut and gave the green light to ship.

9/1: The Pradas arrived and looked pretty great. My husband said he can wear them confidently. He has the auth America’s Cup in leather, so these will be the pair he wears when there’s a chance they could get messed up.

9/9: The Gucci mules arrived. As soon as I felt the shoes through the dust bag, I just knew they were too big. I tried them on and confirmed my suspicion—they were indeed too big…way too big to even attempt to make work. So disappointed and frustrated. 😩😩😩

Would I buy from Ling again?
I’m torn. I have big feet, so I love that Ling Studio offers some high-quality shoe options in bigger sizes, and I love how the catalog is organized. I really don’t want to give up on Ling Studio remaining an option, but I can’t determine whether the sizing guidance was simply an honest mistake or whether I was being reassured so I wouldn’t RL the shoes.

Either way, I’m now out $130 on a pair of shoes I can’t wear, which is frustrating because it could have been avoided. I’ll have to try to offload them.

I’ve had my Royal for a while, and my HH arrived yesterday, so now that I finally have both, I thought I’d do a side-by-side for anyone trying to decide between the two factories. I’m not an expert rep scientist, so take my opinion for what it’s worth to you. I’m comparing a Royal P9 30 cm to HH 25 cm, so it isn’t exactly an apples-to-apples comparison.

Here it goes…

BLUF: Royal has a slight edge

Leather:

VERY CLOSE! Both feel great and the grain looks good. I think HH may have a slight edge in terms of the grain/appearance. That said, it is so close that I can’t confidently declare a winner. For real, I can’t even be sure there is any difference at all. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Plaque: (Updated to correct review)

For my particular bag, as pointed out in the comments, the Royal plaque is incorrect. For that reason, HH wins this category—obviously. That’s on me for not doing a better QC. I never researched the proper plaque…just wasn’t a critical detail for me since it is on the inside.

I think Royal’s is a little better. The details and embossing look a little cleaner and more defined, IMO. HH’s plaque is still very good, though.

Tabs, stitching & construction:

This is where I noticed the biggest difference. The finishings on my Royal just seem a bit cleaner and more precise, but not a huge difference…just being nitpicky. These differences are SMALL.

Hardware:

Another slight edge to Royal. The finish and overall execution look a little more polished IMO, but not taking anything away from HH.

Overall, I think Royal wins. But I can’t emphasize enough how small these differences are.

If you’re carrying the HH around, I don’t think anyone is going to look at it and think it looks noticeably different from Royal’s. You’re really only going to appreciate the differences if you’re comparing them side-by-side or you’re someone who cares about those tiny details.

I really do think the choice between factories for the UB comes down to which one will give you the most personal satisfaction.

I personally wouldn’t pay a big price difference for Royal over HH. But be sure to QC your PSPs!

Loving my latest package delivery!

I have the Speedy P9 size 30 in ultra black from Royal that I absolutely fell in love with. (Seller was Mandy) I basically then wanted every size in this bag!

When I saw Mandy and Betty were having a HH 🏭 flash sale I jumped on it because I kept reading posts about the P9s being identical to Royal.

I reached out to Mandy and ordered a size 20 and a black monogram toiletries bag (to match my black monogram keepall in a size 45). I’m very pleased with both! With that said, the speedy is a little small for me but I’m sure I’ll find occasions to use it.

I also have a Speedy P9 UB in sizes 25 and 40 that I’m waiting on from Betty, as well as a black Firefly. It’s my first time ordering from Betty. I kept seeing reviews about how fast her PSPs were received as well as how fast shipping was, so I decided to give her a try. (Hasn’t been my experience) I’ll review those bags whenever I receive them.

I asked Betty about it and she agreed to an additional $40 instead of $50.

It is starting to develop a really nice early patina, so I took her out in the wild for the first time today…wearing her with full confidence. I can't wait for the patina to darken a bit more. I'm so happy to have access to a factory that doesn't coat the leather!!!

I’m late reviewing this order but here it is. It was a long journey to finally get my bags (not Baobao’s fault!).

I placed my original order on June 7 and received it in late July due to a couple of RLs along the way.

My original order was actually a bag for my SIL from KD Factory. When I got the PSPs, I just wasn’t feeling it. It wasn’t a “bad” bag, but it wasn’t what I was hoping for, so I asked if it could be returned and receive a credit. No issues from Baobao at all.

I ended up ordering a YSL Niki in burgundy with gold hardware (LOVEEE it!) and just paid the difference.

I also ordered the LV Utility Crossbody (the one with the two little pouches) from God 🏭. The PSPs for that one were a pretty easy RL. The stitching was a disaster. Baobao didn’t try to convince me it wasn’t a big deal; there wasn’t any back-and-forth. She just said she’d contact the factory and that was that. I wasn’t sure if the factory was going to pushback but as far as I know they didn’t. Baobao did recommend that I choose a different bag, though.

Since I had another credit, I decided to get the Baby Niki in black with silver hardware l. I also wanted a work bag, so I added the GF Inside Out Neverfull. The color I originally wanted wasn’t available, so I went with the brown leather trim instead.

One thing I really appreciated was that Baobao caught a flaw on the Neverfull. She sent it back to GF for a replacement before I even saw the PSPs.

Needless to say, it was a long process from start to finish.

Regarding Baobao, I really appreciated how patient she was. Between the KD return, RLing the Utility Crossbody, and replacing the Neverfull, there was a lot going on. At no point did she make me feel like I was being difficult or asking for too much. She answered my questions, kept me updated, and handled everything without any issues.

Even though it took a long time, I’m ecstatic about all three bag. I absolutely love them!!! Baobao always makes sure quality bags are delivered. 🫶🏽

Note: Baobao knows I was planning to write this post, but I’m not getting a discount, free bag, or anything else for it. Just wanted to share my experience since I know people ask about/mention her pretty often.

I won this lovely lady in a raffle! Leather looks good, smells pretty nice, stitching seems super clean but I don’t know anything about CC flap bags and what they are supposed to look like. From what I’ve read it seems like stitch count is important?

Anyway, I think she looks and feels good but what do you all think of my score???

Hey there! I just received my Neverfull GM Damier Azure from OC. As soon as I unboxed it and tried it on, I was ecstatic. Moments later I realized the color is very different than my Speedy from Royal 🏭. Is the color on my GM “wrong”? Appreciate your input!

Hi! So, I purchased a few bags from Baobao. I RL’d the LV Duo. Just curious if the community thinks I was too picky?

The stitching just seemed too messy in too many visible places. I would have been fine if the issue was only the stitching inside the bag, or in places you couldn’t really see. I felt like there were just too many areas with messy stitching. I’d like opinions from the community.

Baobao went back to GF and ultimately recommended that I choose a different bag from them. I chose a reversible neverfull (pictured but being replaced because Baobao caught a flaw). Price: $373.10

I’ve wanted the Indigo P9 for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. It arrived today along with my P9 30 Ultra Black, Keepall 45 Ultra Black (not pictured), and a bag I bought as a gift for my sis-in-law (her first rep!). I am ecstatic with this entire haul. 🙌🏽

That said, the P9 30 in Ultra Black has me in a chokehold already. 😂

The Indigo P9 25 is also gorgeous, and I’m so glad I finally got it. My only thought is that I kinda wish I had gone with the 30. This haul confirmed that I’m definitely a P9 30 girlie.
