Is starting a pizza cafe in Mumbai worth ?

I’m planning to start a pizza cafe in Mumbai. Currently, I run one in Goa, and it’s doing pretty well. But Mumbai is a completely different market because of high rents, staff costs, competition, and other expenses, and Im honestly a bit confused and nervous about whether it’s the right move or not.

I wanted genuine suggestions from people who are already in the food business or have experience running cafes/restaurants in Mumbai.

Some things I need advice on:
• Which locations are good ?
• What price range usually works well here?
• Is dine-in better or cloud kitchen?
• What are the biggest mistakes first-time owners make in Mumbai?
• Is the market already too saturated or is there still scope for quality pizza places?

I’m open to discussion and would genuinely appreciate real experiences and honest opinions before taking the step.

Tried solo camping by a riverside in Goa and it turned out to be a mix of calm and a little fear. Reached the spot by evening around 4Pm, set up the tent, and the vibe was honestly very peaceful just water flowing, the sunset was mesmerising and greenery all around.

But once it got dark, things felt very different. Being completely alone, every small sound felt louder and especially insects and random noises from the jungle side. There was always that thought of “what if some animal shows up,” which made it a bit intense.

Still, the campfire helped a lot. Kept it burning till late night and just sat there, listening to the river and trying to enjoy the moment.

Overall, a mix of fear and peace but definitely a memorable experience. If you’re planning something like this, just be prepared mentally and carry basic safety gear.

Took a small break for a Goa trip as its my hometown and went to some hidden beach. No crowd, just the sound of waves and soft sand par garmi phadu thi n sath mai hawa bhi chal rahi thi.

Sometimes trips aren’t about plans, they’re about finding places like this.

Tried 99 Pancakes outlet in Marol, Andheri East.

We ordered:
• Oreo Waffle
• Choco Chip Pancakes

The waffle was nicely crisp on the outside and soft inside, topped with white chocolate drizzle and Oreo bits. Pancakes were fluffy, well-cooked, and loaded with choco chips and sauce without being overly sweet.

Portion size was good for sharing between 2 people. Service was quick and packaging was neat for takeaway.

Overall rating: 9/10
Amount - ₹200 per person
Good spot if you’re craving affordable desserts in this area.
