Instead of one elementary which was the original assignment, I’m now at two and it’s entirely a caseload of self contained classrooms. AU and ECI programs. Both campuses have another SLP. My concerns are not having a space that’s mine to do paperwork and pump (I’m three months post partum) and handling severe cases all day. I’m leaving private practice and I adore AAC, but handling severe kids all day after just leaving a place where I got hit on a daily basis, I’m disappointed. I’m going to miss language and artic therapy.

I’m worried they took all the hard cases at both campuses and gave them to me as the contractor to help their district employees. I’ve never done two campuses before at elementary because usually the caseloads are big enough for one or two SLPs.

Can anyone talk me out of worst case scenario thinking and that it’s not as bad as I’m worried about?

So I have been religiously adhering to an every three hour schedule these past two weeks with two power pumps to bring up my supply enough that when I fully regulate I won’t dip too far under my baby’s needs and can keep building a freezer stash. I’m 11 weeks post partum today.

Last night I wanted a longer stretch of sleep because I’m exhausted so husband took baby duty and I did a power pump from 9-10 pm and then set an alarm for 3 am. My usual pump times are 8pm(power pump), 11pm, 2am, 4am(pp), and 7am so a five hour stretch of sleep sounds heavenly. Unfortunately I woke up at 1 am with uncomfortable breasts, I was able to go back to sleep but by the time 3 am rolled around I was hurting. I then got 11.75 oz.

How do I do this? I need a longer stretch but it was barely restful from my girls being so full then full on painful.

FTM at 7 weeks pp. I went back to work yesterday and it’s already going downhill. I let my manager know I’d need two blocks set aside for pumping (I work in healthcare so I have a strict schedule for sessions with clients). I let them know I need thirty minutes to pump with a few minutes to set up/clean up but that I can work on paperwork during that time. When I went in, I had only one thirty minute block that was my lunch. So I talked to them again and they set another thirty minute paperwork block at the end of my day.

It sort of worked. I ended up late to my first client after lunch because I needed to clean up and put away the milk after my lunch pump and I ended up staying a few minutes after work to finish up my end of day pump. Being late gives me anxiety so I was stressed throughout the whole day and my supply tanked yesterday. Also, my office has a camera which I just learned is audio and video. (Before it was only video supposedly) My manager said it would be turned off during my pumping times but it still freaked me out.

I spoke to my manager again about needing more than just 30 minutes to pump and she was resistant to giving me more time. She tried to help brainstorm ideas to make it go faster, like providing a minifridge so I don’t have to take the time to store anything in the break room, etc. which was nice but not what I actually need.

I guess my question is, am I being too demanding to ask for more than 30 minutes to pump? At home I usually pump a 30 minute cycle and then clean up etc and I am a slight oversupplier usually. I’m just hoping my supply comes back up and I can stress less about this but being crunched for time and trying to rush through is a big deal for me.

I’m on spring 18 of a new save and have the fertility pasture bought. However the round pen is still not open. I can’t buy it from the carpenter either. I’ve caught two wild horses and taming them without it is a pain. How do I open it up? Online it says it’s automatic with the fertility pasture. Do I need to actually breed a foal? Also I’ve won the races for town, meadow, and forest at least ten times each but I’m not getting the statue quests from Madeline. The statues are glowing but I can’t interact with them at all anymore.
