Curious about the Experience
So I'm a nichely super-experienced tripper, with somewhere in the ballpark of 450-600 trips on N,N-DMT. I also have experience with other psychedelics, both tryptamines and phenethylamines, but not anywhere near the same level. Of course my curiosity extends to other plant alkaloids, and Salvia has had my attention for some time now. I'm aware that Salvia interacts with opioid receptors and is a dissociative by definition, not a classical psychedelic. I'm also aware of the reverse-tolerane situation that most people experience. I'm considering buying Plain Leaf, 10x, and 20x so I have all the things on hand to gradually step up the intensity of the experiences.
I want to start with quidding plain leaf, and see how that goes. After getting to grips with that, to try smoking it. First question, does it require a torch and glass, or would my Arizer Solo II be a decent option to try out?
Secondly, I'm about to enter a phase of life where I will be regularly consuming medicinal doses of harmala alkaloids, and was wondering if there are any known interactions or contraindications? Harmalas also produce and inverse-tolerance.
I have done a lot of personal work and therapeutic work with DMT, and love and appreciate it dearly for the aid it has given me over the years. I have heard a lot of people talk about how Salvia is a 'brutally honest truth, that makes you appreciate the good and bad parts of life'. What sort of lessons or learning themes are common with Salvia?
With DMT the chances of entities are never guaranteed. One study performed with the reddit sub's population found that only about ~44% of people ever experienced DMT entities. How common would you say entities are with salvia?
Psychic Strain: I've had wonder and terror with DMT, and at times the terror leaves me with a feeling of psychic strain- like I'm deeply unrested and worn out, unable to bring my cognition up to speed. How mentally straining are the experiences across small, medium, and high doses?
I'm also avidly browsing erowid and reddit for stories to look further into dosing and techniques, but would welcome any information you feel is relevant for me to know.
