Well my first cielo tek did not worked. So I was curious if the cactus was maybe also not the best.
Do you think that this one could be the right one? And that 40cm are enough? I would love to try it very soon again
Forgot to turn off a tent heater in the spring and badly damaged the cacti close to it. I started those cacti from seed in October 2024 and harvested them in May 2026.

I believe I followed the Cielo tek exactly: 100 grams of cactus, 130 grams of water, the five pulls with ethyl acetate, and 3 grams of fumaric acid. I also used two filters.
Before salting, the solution appeared either red or dark green depending on the light. When I added the fumaric acid, it immediately formed a milky cloud. However, I hadn’t checked whether there was any sediment just before salting.
It’s been about five hours now. I can already see crystals forming, but I’m unsure about the deposit at the very bottom. Do you think it could be mescaline, or is it likely something else? I’m referring specifically to the fine white powdery layer at the very bottom of the jar.

I see so many recommendations to water extract or alcohol or this or that, but at the end of the day 99% of people will do perfectly at a fumeric based cielo tek and it's under an hour to solid results. If you're new please just do it and you'll thank me later when you have beautiful mescaline fumerate crystals instead of choking down the devils dick
My 4th Cielo extraction has given an unexpectedly high yield. I do not trust that it is accurate and am wondering if there might be any common errors that might lead to this?
How much excess fumaric acid would you have to add to have it show up in your product?
I suspect my issue, at least in part, was residual freebase in the reclaimed EA. I did a 50g run so my guess is the residual was just much more apparent. How much residual product are you seeing in your reclaimed EA?
I've recently come up on a half gram of HCL advertised as being very pure. I read somewhere that you're not supposed to consume caffeine beforehand. Is there anything else I should be worried about and how much do you recommend I use. I'm an experienced traveler. Last time I did anything was 2 weeks ago I took 2 tabs. I also take about a teaspoon of kratom twice a day. What are yalls thoughts and what is a good dose im 6' 160 lbs. I've got an ulcer too and when I take 2cb it's like eating battery acid. 20 mg compared to 500 mg sounds like I'm in for a world of hurt. But you know what they say you only yolo once.
Update: my experience reminded me of a more grounded and loving mdma sesh. I didn't get any visuals probably because I never took the second dose. The comeup was not pleasant at all and then boom it morphed into an energetic boost of joy. No nausea or burning sensation in my tummy. I wish I would have taken the whole 500 but I began to feel guilty for not giving the molecule its full respect. Next time I'll use one of my own cacti on a completely sober mind to get it's full benefits. It was a gentle ride that lasted forever 😂 I hear the full spectrum is better medicine.
Hello I have many cuts of bridgesii and some other specimens (long story but I ran out of room in my grow room) and I have some time to brew fresh tea but not anytime for several weeks to sample the brew.
Does it keep? I probably will dehydrate and powder most of this instead.

Hey guys. I tried the cielo tek. So far so good. But the last step did not worked. I used 100g powder, 25g pickling line. 140g destilled water, than 225g ethyl ac., than 5 rounds with 160 and than i gave 5 gram of citcic acid and took it to a Magnet thing for 1 Hour. Than there was nothing. Any tips what i could try
Did anyone try that? I am going to extract soon and plan to vape the extracted crystals
My dumbass didn't filter the EA from the powder then added fumaric before I realized my mistake. I'm guessing the alkaloids precipitated but is there a way to isolate it? Or is this just a waste?
I have the option to get about 20 kg of pachanoi from a 22-year-old plant, but another option is 30 kg from a 7-year-old plant; would the significant age difference actually affect the alkaloid content? They are the same clone (Lemmy)

I have some cuttings that I thought got fully dried, but apparently they did not, as now that I went to grind them up I found that they are covered if mold.

Normally I use a dehydrator to dry, but it was already in use, and I used the sun and a fan, and probably rushed it, before all of it was cracker dry😑

I’ve gained a new appreciation for prepping cactus. The worst part is peeling the waxy skin. My fingernails still hurt from all the peeling 😆
I ended up with 4400 grams of fresh prepped cactus. I used everything but the core which I still kept and dried and may do an extraction for curiosity sake.
So rough estimate is 220 grams if dried at a 5% dry weight.
I brewed in a large pot for 6 hours with distilled water with the lid on periodically adding a little water cause it still evaporates some even with the lid. Strained and squeezed all the material through cheesecloth. This may have been going overboard but I also did a 40 minute insta-pot run, strained, then another 20 minute. Reduced it all down to 64oz in total and did one last strain through cheesecloth into mason jars. I froze it all except 1 cup total which I took with me. I plan to share this medicine so I wanted to gauge potency on my own before serving to others who have no experience.
At 1% mescaline content on the lower side that would be about 137mg mescaline for a 1/2 cup, which should be just enough for threshold dose
At bridges common amount of 2.5% that would put half a cup around 340 grams of mescaline. A moderate dose.
I figured 1/2 cup is a good starting dose which is what I drank. Let me tell you based off my experience I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these cuttings were in the 3%+ range. That or the fresh weight to dry conversion was way off.
Only 4oz of the 64 I brewed sent me on a challenging ride. I have 6 journeys with the medicine under my belt all done in Peru. They only use Pachanoi there though. This was by far the most intense experience I’ve had.
It was the longest come up I’ve experienced. At the 2-3 hour mark I was contemplating taking a redose of another 1/2 cup I brought. Thank god I didn’t. I decided to just give it time. At first it was lovely and gentle, but by hour 4-5 the peak was starting and it was relentless the rest of the day. I drank at 9am and was still feeling it at 12am. Couldn’t even fall asleep until 3am.
The visuals were wild and intense. Everything in my visual field was morphing and blending into fractal geometric patterns. The ground was dropping and rising beneath my feet. Closed eye visuals were infinite changing kaleidoscope patterns of light and geometry.
Auditory hallucinations and an extreme heightened sense of hearing were abundant. Jets would fly over and I swear I could hear them coming super far away and it would take a business day for them to finally pass over due to the time dilation.
Those things I could handle though. It was the body sensations and energy moving through me that made this experience overall pretty uncomfortable. Extremely energetic, electric, and stimulating. I just couldn’t get comfortable.
I know there is debate on the effects of Bridges vs Pachanoi and some saying Bridge is more stimulating and edgy. At the moment I would have to agree. But I do plan to cut the dose in half next time and see what a more gentle experience is like.
Overall it was still a beautiful experience and I’m grateful for having gone through it regardless of the challenges. The medicine never gives you anything you can’t handle and I’m amazed at how clear headed you can be even in the thick of it. Not once did I feel any anxiety or fear. It was just fucking intense and I knew I just had to roll with it the best I could.
So 64oz from 8ft or 4400g fresh essentially gave me 32 moderate doses or 16 heavy. I am curious to see what just 1oz would do so I think I may try that next.

In recent years, numerous clinical studies have shown that psilocybin holds significant therapeutic potential, particularly in treatment-resistant depression. At the same time, its current classification as a controlled substance significantly hinders scientific research and limits medical access for patients, despite Germany already having introduced a compassionate use program for psilocybin.
In addition, the current legal framework fails to reflect reality. Despite prohibition, a market for alternative psychoactive substances already exists, including research chemicals (such as 4-PrO-MET and LSD analogues), which are used by individuals attempting to self-medicate without medical supervision. Retreat programs involving psilocybin-assisted experiences in countries such as the Netherlands and parts of South America are also becoming increasingly popular. A regulated medical framework would support scientific research, establish quality standards, and significantly improve safety by replacing unregulated access with controlled medical use.
Furthermore, the current legal situation leads to the criminalisation of responsible adults for possession or use, exposing them to criminal records that can have long-term personal and professional consequences. According to current research, psilocybin demonstrates a comparatively favourable safety profile under controlled conditions and is considered a promising compound in psychiatric research.
