My son was arrested for 3 new charges and violating his probation last week. He basically trashed the front room of the house and broke the front door. I was also hurt (hit by a door flung open by my son). He’d been off his meds, refused to take them, for over a week, I knew his aggression would turn up (he has a TBI) and that he was particularly depressed. So police took him to be evaluated for a mental hold, he was denied by the hospital, and at the time the police didn’t have enough to hold him until they obtained a warrant for his arrest the next day. He was in detention for 5 days, they still wouldn’t give him his medications, I was so frustrated by the lack of mental health care for my son. He was transferred to a Crisis Stabilization facility by the state yesterday, and our anti-TTI friends should be glad to know it’s not on the list! Anyways, I knew my son would struggle, but thought he’d just be glad to not be in detention. So his first full day? Threatened to assault a staff member and refused to participate in activities. All of his privileges were taken away and his PO was also notified. I tried calling them on two different times direct numbers and both went to voicemail. It’s still the working day, not yet 5, please answer the damn phone! I just want to know what happened and if he still will have phone call and visitation privileges. I’m scared they will try to send him back to detention. Since he’s been out of the house I feel like all I do is sleep. I’m utterly exhausted. And the crisis center he was sent to is a hour drive each way, I guess I should be grateful it’s so close? I just really don’t want my son to blow it and get kicked out. Anyone go through this, or anything close?

Update: I’m happy to say I’ve made contact with the crisis stabilization facility and also talked to my son, who sounded to be in good spirits. I can still visit, so I’m relieved. They apologized for the miscommunication on a Friday afternoon and gave me the direct number to my son’s “cabin”. I feel much better.
