Buying advice: XREAL A01+ vs RayNeo GT for media consumption on a moving bus

I'm currently trying to decide between two AR glasses to buy:
Candidate A: XREAL A01+
Candidate B: RayNeo GT (Standard)
My main conditions are:
Budget: Under 400,000 KRW (approx. $300 USD)
Use case: Long daily commutes on a coach/express bus
Content: Mostly watching YouTube and occasionally movies
I did some research and found that the A01+ normally retails for around 418,000 KRW here, but I can grab it for 370,000 KRW (incl. customs/shipping) during tomorrow's AliExpress sale. However, since the two products have different features, I'm having a hard time deciding.
Here are the specs and prices I'm comparing:
A01+: 1600 nits, 43 PPD, 50° FOV, 147-inch, 0DoF (Anti-shake/Smooth follow only), 62g (56g without the front frame) — 370k KRW (approx. $275) via AliExpress sale.
GT: 1200 nits, 49 PPD, 46° FOV, 201-inch, 3DoF, 68g — 344k KRW (approx. $255) via a local community market.
Considering my main use case is watching videos on a moving bus, which one do you guys think would be the better buy?
Any advice or real-world experiences would be greatly appreciated!

How are global VFX studios handling AI pipelines, Linux restrictions, and Gen AI limits? (From a KR Compositor)

Hi everyone,

I’m a VFX Compositor working in South Korea. The VFX industry here is pushing hard to adopt AI, and I’ve been actively trying out various methods to build a solid VFX + AI pipeline. I’m posting this because I’m genuinely curious about how studios and artists overseas are integrating AI into their daily workflows.

Currently, my personal workflow heavily relies on ComfyUI + Gemini + Grok + Topaz (utilizing both free and paid APIs). For me, Topaz has become an absolutely indispensable tool for generating high-quality source elements and upscaling for the final output.

However, I’ve recently run into some major hurdles that made me wonder, "Am I the only one working this way? How is everyone else doing it?"

Specifically, I'm dealing with highly secured, closed Linux-based studio pipelines and strict Gen AI restrictions from major clients like Netflix. I don't have many places locally to discuss these specific pipeline bottlenecks, so I’d love to hear from the global community.

I have a few questions for those working in studio environments:

  1. Which OS is preferred for VFX + AI pipelines right now? Are studios sticking strictly to Linux, or are you seeing more Windows/hybrid setups to accommodate AI tools?
  2. How do you handle closed/restricted environments? For instance, if your studio enforces a closed Linux network, you might be forced to use web-based versions of tools like Topaz (if allowed at all). How are artists and TDs working around these software and OS limitations?
  3. What does your general VFX + AI workflow look like today? How are you navigating client restrictions (like Netflix's Gen AI rules) while still utilizing tools like ComfyUI in your compositing process?

Any insights, workarounds, or general discussions about your current studio pipelines would be hugely appreciated! Thanks in advance.
