I hate to say it, but did Ikechi sorta have a point?

Don't get me wrong, Ikechi seems like an insufferable, fragile, insecure man. I have no doubt that being married to him was an incredible challenge for Emem.

That being said, Ikechi mentioned a few times over the course of the season that he felt like a warm body in the sense that Emem was just looking for a husband and didnt care who it was.

At first I thought it was kinda ridiculous to criticize her for that considering they both volunteered to be married at first sight; however, my opinion may be wavering after giving it some thought.

Like Emem jumped into an engagement with new dude after like 2 dates right after all the dust started to settle with Ikechi.

Ikechi was wrong about a lot, but I feel like he may have been on to something with that one?

I really like Emem for the most part but do think her rush with new dude was a bit weird.

If Georgia has known for years about Charlies transphobic comments, then why has she only recently stopped considering him a friend?

I mean I think I know the answer (drugs), but if his comments about Emira were as bad and frequent as Georgia says, then I feel like she isnt as disturbed by his comments as she is leading on to Emira.

Its also not the reason she stopped being friends with him, as far as I know.

Hopefully that makes sense idk the math just isnt mathing for me

Aside from this I really like Georgia I just dont know what to make of this whole thing.

Shamea and repaying men with sexual favors

In the latest episode when talking to Kelli about her $70k smile, Shamea made a comment about how Kelli is going to owe Jarvis 70k blow jobs to repay him.

She made a similar comment in a scene last season when Gerald bought her a Rolls Royce for her birthday about how she repaid him sexually and then did a really weird twerk and dance while immitating blowing her man in front of the cast.

Maybe im just a prude, but comments like these make me so uncomfortable. I've just never been in a relationship where that behavior is normal, and honestly never want to be.

Like it just makes it seem like an arranged agreement where he gives her money and gifts and she gives him sex and a son, rather than a relationship based on love and mutual respect.

Not sure if I am alone in this but was curious about what others think?

Speculating about cast

Sorry if this type of post isn't allowed, please remove if so.

I'm really so over seeing people post on here speculating about the casts sexuality, especially the men's.

It is never okay to speculate about whether someone is in the closet.

If someone is not public about being a part of the LGBTQ+ community there is probably a reason (that is none of our business) and it should be respected.

A few people have said thay well its a gossip page and its not really harmful bc its not like they will actually see it.

Normalizing this type of speculation and rhetoric is irresponsible and homophobic first and foremost, perpetuates harmful stereotypes, and contributes to the otherness of queer people as a whole.

I love this subreddit and watch atl housewives on loop but I continue to be disappointed when I see these things brought up in posts and comments.
