Never forgetting to put my bin out again

I was on a weeks leave a few weeks ago and I forgot to put my bin out.
So I bought myself a couple of cheap vibration sensors and strapped them to my bins, I made a toggle helper for each that triggers on when the bins are moved, this resets everyday at 2.30pm,
I set up an automation that sends my phone a notification if the toggle of each bin hasn’t been triggered between 3pm and 6pm on the evening before each bin is supposed to be put out.
Hopefully this problem will never happen again

Love this

I’m still very new with my home assistant journey but I think this is one of my favourite things that Ive done so far, definitely going to come in very handy for the Australian summer.

Help with AlphaESS battery automation

I’m trying to set up an automation in home assistant that sells power back to the grid from my AlphaESS battery at a certain time till the battery reaches 65%.
I have been working with Claude to do this with no luck. My energy supplier at the moment is AGL.
The only way I have been able to sell back to the grid is with the force discharge button in the AlphaESS app manually.

Has anyone been able to achieve something like this, preferably without messing with modbus?

Has anyone else had this problem before? It has been like this since yesterday morning. There are no faults on my battery and it looks like it is connected to the internet.
