I was admitted to UNC Charlotte as a first-year student for Fall 2026, but I originally chose NC State. Now, right before classes start, I’ve reconsidered and really want to attend Charlotte instead.

I’m planning to email/call UNC Charlotte Admissions today to ask if they can reactivate my existing Fall 2026 admission and let me enroll.

I know the normal enrollment deadline has passed, so I realize this is extremely last-minute. Has anyone been in a similar situation or know how flexible UNC Charlotte Admissions is with something like this?

I’m not asking about transferring—I was already admitted for Fall 2026. I’m specifically wondering whether they might make an exception and let me activate my existing admission.

Do you think there’s a realistic chance they’ll say yes? Considering that I’ll be commuting and I’ll go undeclared if my wanted major (cs) is full/unavailable

For some context, I'm 18, male, and I've been sleeping quite poorly for the past 7+ months, and been seeing very increased shedding of hair onto my hand whenever I lather shampoo throughout my hair. I've been sleeping from 4-5 am to 6:48 am and then taking a nap from 4-5 pm to 8-9 pm every weekday for the past 7 months. Is this poor enough sleep that it would trigger telogen effluvium? (just curious to know if its bad enough to trigger TE)

Hello guys, I'm an incoming freshman, and I'm trying to figure out how strict Orientation is about attendance.

Which orientation events/sessions are actually required, and which ones can be skipped without any issues?

Also, what's the earliest you're typically allowed to leave on orientation day?
