RIP Dolly.
You were a force for good in this crazy mixed-up world.
...Aeolian Cadence in their catalogue (before & after 1970)?
Mine is probably "Not a Second Time". THe way it moves from a dominant-functioning chord (D7) to a minor e-minor chord (Em) is sublime.
This day 43 years ago I got to see U2 live for the first time.
A "Day at the Races", U2 playing the Pheonix Park Racecourse in Dublin (don't look for it, it's not there anymore).
Also on the bill:
Simple Minds
Eurythmics
Big Country
Steel Pulse
A Perfect Crime
20,000 others joined me in paying £10.50 - Irish Punts - for a ticket. We also had some barrier crashers, but everyone there, ticket or no ticket, affirming that U2 were indeed the biggest band in Ireland.
Only a handful of years on from when U2 had to literally pull people in off the street to see them at the National Stadium in Dublin, U2 returned home in triumph after touring the World for the "War" tour.
The War album and the single New Years Day had exposed U2 to new audiences in every country in the 8 months leading up to this gig.
And that night, as they gave this 14 year old the night of his life so far, plans were in process to get the band live onto an Album, and also to talk to Brian Eno and map out Studio Album #4...
What a time to be alive!
Fucking hell.
Died in a Car Motorcycle Crash according to RTE. Out near Chapelizod.
He will be missed, one of the good guys and a total one-off.
Hi Folks,
I hope you can help me out here.
I made a purchase from Klone Scents on the Tuesday the 2nd of June this year.
As of Friday the 3rd of July 2026, I haven't had a tracking number, and - needless to say - my order has not arrived.
I should have researched the company before I ordered.
Has anyone else had the same experience with Klone Scents in the last 30-60 days?
You might be so kind as to let me know of your experience...
Grian was spotted in the posh boxes of The Olympia Theatre last night, thoroughly enjoying the brilliant Stewart Lee.
I didn't interact with him but he seems like a cool bloke.
U2.com are advertising the video for Street Of Dreams, a "surprise" performance.
Is it really a surprise to those who knew about the Advertisement for attendees 2 or 3 days in advance? /s
I guess its a surprise if you're not on Reddit or U2.com...
Anyway, it sounds great, good groove, interesting lyric so far, and sounds more in line with the tracks Easter Lily than Days Of Ash. A good way to start the working week.
Roll on the new Album.
