what is the "90% sanding" of your hobby? writing is 90% rereading what you wrote to figure out what you can edit down

also i feel like this is one of those things no one tells you about and then neurotypicals act incredulous if you say you struggle with an activity. like i may enjoy the hobby, i don't enjoy the 90% part of it, those aren't mutually exclusive!
