The loneliness is eating me up.

I don’t know if anyone else feels this way but lately the loneliness has been overwhelming
Even when I’m surrounded by people but I still feel alone. Some days it’s hard to stay positive and I honestly miss having someone to talk to or just share life with.

What’s something that quietly kills a relationship?

In ur opinion what’s something that slowly destroys a relationship without people realizing it until it’s too late?

I (21M) have been in a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend (22F) for 2 months.

Recently, something happened that has made me question the trust in our relationship. Yesterday she went out with a male friend and did not tell me about it. I only found out later. When I asked her about it, she denied it at first. After I confronted her, she became defensive and started saying hurtful things to me, including calling me mentally ill.
What hurts me most is not that she has male friends. I understand that everyone can have friends of the opposite sex. The issue for me is that she chose to hide it, denied it when I asked, and then insulted me instead of having an honest conversation.
We are in a long-distance relationship, so trust and communication are very important to me. Lately, I have also felt that she is becoming more distant and less interested in talking than before.
How should I handle this situation? Is this something that can be worked through, or are these signs of a deeper problem in the relationship? What would you do in my position?
TL;DR: My long-distance girlfriend (22F) went out with a male friend and hid it from me. When I confronted her, she denied it at first and later called me mentally ill. I’m struggling with the loss of trust and want advice on how to handle the situation.
