Drip feed lump sum?

Drip feed lump sum?

Hiya all :) Long time lurker, first time poster!

I’m about to come into some money, enough to max out my ISA this year (first time ever, very happy) and I was planning on placing this all into my pie.

(Not my main question, but let me know if I’m doing anything silly with this pie?)

Is it better to drip feed it in? E.g ~£2K monthly as opposed to just dropping the £20K in? That also just feels quite scary aha :)

Thanks! X

Is this a no brainer?

Hiya all :) 19F, currently on £30K with a £2.5K guaranteed bonus in West London (payroll admin, 2 YOE, college dropout.)

I've been liaising with a recruiter on Linkedin regarding a senior role, the salary range being £35-39K with a guaranteed bonus of £2-3K.

With my current company, it's office-based all week but I have zero commute time- the office is literally on the same road as me, a 2 minute walk! Despite not having a fancy title, I have complete control of my department, albeit I don't think I'm on for a promotion anytime soon. The company priorities employee-wellbeing by having monthly 'fun days' (with monetary prizes ~£50), extravagant xmas parties, and an employee of the quarter scheme (prize worth ~£300.) Other than that.. my annual leave is average, there's no enhanced parental/sick leave, and pension contributions are minimal. I do have a sense of loyalty to the company though- they took in a 17 year old with zero experience.

I haven't been fully informed of the benefits at the new company yet, but I don't know if I'm tunnel-visioning on the salary... It would add a 2 hour commute 3 days a week, and I've estimated that the tube would cost around £1500.00 a year for this, but the salary increase covers that well. Leaving school with no qualifications, I never thought I'd be in the position to ever earn this much.

Is it a no brainer to jump to a role (interview allowing) with a big salary increase and a senior title?

19F - Lump Sum & General Advice?

Hiya all :) First time posting here!

19F & £30K salary, started working when I was 17 but didn't even start thinking about pensions until last Nov... (and I literally work in payroll!) Opened an SIPP with Standard Life (work won't make contributions into my pot until I'm 21, and I haven't heard great things about NEST..) and I've been depositing £200.00 a month in (+£50 tax relief.) Is this enough?

Over the 7 months I've been contributing, I've reached £1897.68 (£1400 deposits, £350 tax relief & £147 investment growth.) Estimating around £250.00 a month into my pot brings me to £3000.00 annually, which exceeds the half your age% of your salary but I'm not sure if I should be doing more?

I do have other long-term savings in my S&S ISA, but I'm stuck between kind of enjoying my money whilst I'm young and have got a lot of disposable income, or putting it all away.

Any advise on my monthly contributions?

Secondly, I'm due to receive about £33K inheritance at the end of this month (if Aviva allows!) £20K of this is going into my S&S ISA, but I'm stuck on the other £13K. Initially, I considered putting £10K into my pension, but it felt a little scary to lock all that money away in there! Give me a kick up the arse about the most responsible thing to do here?

Thank you! x

Hiya everyone :)

I've always been a massive fan of bags; however, my collection at the minute consists of mostly affordable designer (e.g. Coach, MK, VW) though I have a few Mulberry pieces (my brown Bayswater is my absolute baby!)

I enjoy shopping second hand, which is actually how I got my Bayswater, as well as a bag from the VW Virgin Atlantic collection, but I just want to know if you guys have any recommendations of good second hand sites for more luxury bags? (I'm UK based!)

Currently, I mainly use Vestiaire Collective.

I'm planning to buy a LV Alma PM soon as my first new luxury bag paid outright, but I'm looking for any places that would have some nice Mulberry, Miu Miu or Dior pieces?

Thank you! xx
