Cocteau Twins albums and EPs tierlist

Cocteau Twins albums and EPs tierlist

So I feel like I have a lot of unpopular opinions, I'm goth and enjoy their more spooky and weird work but I do love their entire discography.

I don't think any of their albums are bad, just consider that the higher they are on this tierlist, the most I cherish them (and listen to them regulary) <3

Songs about the desire for change

I’m going through a phase of life filled with changes on every level (I’m hoping to move to a new city soon, I’ve cut ties with most of my friends, plus other more personal matters), and I’d love some music to accompany me during this time, something themed around the desire to escape, change, contemplating the life you need.

I recently discovered 10 James Orr Street by Strawberry Switchblade (not exactly goth I guess ? but found it in a goth playlist) and have been listening to it on repeat, now I need more!

Requests can be melancholic, dramatic, optimistic, dreamy, angry, idc as long as it fits the theme

I have a preference for etheral wave/kinda dreamy music and female singers, but I’m open to anything

question about goth hair / batnest styling and hygiene

I tried some "batnest" type hairstyles a few times and like it a lot, wasn't so happy with how it looked with my haircut tho so it was very occasional. I'm still new to this.

I just got a new haircut (really short unstructured bob) with a plan to style the back in a goth / batnest way, my hair is really thin and straight so its a good way to bring volume in, and for my style to read more goth

But I was wondering how managable it is to style them with a lot of product most of the time I want to get prepared, since I try to not wash my hair too often, 1 or 2 times a week at most. I also avoid getting my hair wet when not washing them, makes them greasy.

Like if I just washed them, put a ton of product in it because I'm going out, do I need to wash them again after ? Do I just keep products in ? I feel like it would be a sensory and hygiene nightmare to keep products in for a whole week, or to accumulate products of multiple days styling them in between washes. How are you guys dealing with this ?

Similar to Cocteau Twins debuts

Cocteau Twins being one of my favorite bands, I've been searching for other bands along the line of their first 3 albums (Garlands, Head Over Heels and Treasure)

Their songs are really unique and I don't think I'll find something truely similar but I'd love to try getting closer to it

Fav songs from them are Wax and Wane, In Our Angelhood, Amelia and I enjoy the more experimental, rock and edgy part of their work

Would like female singer recommendations around 80/90s but that's not mandatory
