This Friday, August 21st is cosmically aligned for Reconciliation and Love Work.

Have your reconciliation and love spells ready this Friday. We're looking at an awesome cosmic alignment that should make this kind of work quite powerful.

Friday is ruled by Venus, the planet of love.

Moon is Waxing Gibbous, and in Sagittarius, This phase acts as a magnet, pulling their thoughts and energies towards you, and while Sagittarius Moon may seem to wild or independent on the surface, it will give your ritual a very special, unique and aggressive advantage....

The "Hunting" Energy: The Archer will send the arrow flying straight to the target, much like Cupid. It is a direct and powerful trajectory.

Sagittarius also rules over long distances, so if there is a physical distance, a lack of communication or an emotional wall, Sagittarius Moon will help break past those boundaries.

Venus is in Libra, it's home sign. Love energy will be balanced, highly romantic, and cooperative.

Look up your planetary hours, and work within the hour of Venus.

Question: Using video game characters as a representation of an SP

In some video games, especially games with a large cast of playable characters, (Hero Shooters, MOBAs, Fighting Games, etc) there is the concept of a Main. A Main is a character that a player chooses to regularly or sometime exclusively play as, above all other characters. Some players may put thousands of hours playing their Main.

So say a specific person is someone who regularly plays a game, and they have a Main that they have put hundreds of hours playing, can an image or figure of that character be used as a stand in for that person in spellwork or on an altar?

(example, someone who's a Mercy Main in Overwatch, being represented by a figure, toy, or picture of Mercy)

MTG Oracle Deck Study- Know Yourself- Akroan Flamespeaker

Know Yourself — Akroan Flamespeaker

Core Meaning:
Self-knowledge, identity, awareness, meaning-making, inner truth, existence, personal myth.

Expanded Meaning:
This card appears when you are being asked to turn inward and witness yourself honestly. Not the version of yourself shaped by other people’s expectations. Not the role you perform. Not the fear, wound, mask, or fantasy. The self beneath all of that.

Know Yourself does not demand that you have a perfect answer to “who am I?” In fact, it suggests that the self is not a fixed object to be discovered once and for all. You are alive, changing, mysterious, and unfinished. You are both earthly and numinous: body and spirit, instinct and imagination, flesh and meaning.

This card reminds you that life may not arrive with a prewritten purpose. Meaning is something you participate in creating. You can tell a story about yourself that imprisons you, or one that awakens you. You can define yourself by shame, fear, loss, and limitation; or you can choose a life that inspires courage, wonder, and becoming.

The question is not only: Who am I?
It is also: What meaning am I giving to my life?

Light Aspect:
Self-awareness, authenticity, curiosity, spiritual insight, confidence, creative meaning, inner fire, personal truth.

Shadow Aspect:
Identity confusion, self-deception, nihilism, overthinking, fear of the unknown, letting others define you, creating meaning from pain alone.

As Advice:
Pause and return to yourself. Breathe before you decide who you are. Do not rush to label your life too narrowly. Ask what story you are living by, and whether it still deserves your devotion.

As an Outcome:
Greater self-understanding may emerge. You may come to see yourself more clearly, or realize that you are not lost so much as becoming. A new personal truth, identity, or guiding philosophy may take shape.

In Relationships:
This card asks you not to lose yourself in another person. A relationship may be showing you something important about your desires, fears, wounds, or patterns. Let the connection reveal you, but do not let it define you entirely.

In Work / Life Path:
You may be questioning your purpose, role, or direction. This card encourages you to choose a path that feels meaningful, not merely practical. If your current life feels empty, ask what kind of work, service, art, or daily rhythm would make you feel more alive.

Spiritual Message:
You are not required to fully understand the mystery in order to belong to it. Your existence is already a flame. Tend it.

Reversed Meaning:
Reversed, Know Yourself suggests confusion, disconnection, or fear of the unknown within you. You may be trying too hard to solve yourself like a problem, when what you need first is gentleness.

If you feel lost, breathe. Relax your grip. Life is unknowable, and you are part of that unknowableness. The self cannot always be forced into clarity. Sometimes it must be approached with curiosity, patience, and awe.

This card reversed can also warn that you are letting pain, anxiety, or outside voices write your identity for you. Be careful what meanings you attach to your experiences. Not every wound is a prophecy. Not every failure is a definition.

Reversed Advice:
Stop demanding certainty before you allow yourself to live. Become curious about the mystery of yourself. You do not need to know exactly who you are today in order to move toward what feels true.

Keywords:
Self-knowledge, identity, meaning, mystery, awareness, authenticity, purpose, inner flame, curiosity, becoming, personal truth, existence.

MTG / Theros Connection:
The flamespeakers of Akros carry the image of inspired speech, sacred fire, and insight rising from within. In this card, the Akroan Flamespeaker represents the inner oracle: the part of you that speaks through intuition, passion, and self-awareness. The flame does not give you a single permanent answer. It illuminates the next truth.

My input: this card is less “figure yourself out” and more “meet yourself without panic.” It is a beautiful card for identity shifts, existential confusion, spiritual searching, or moments when someone needs to stop asking, “What am I supposed to be?” and start asking, “What meaning do I choose to live by?”

MTG Oracle Deck Study- Power of Words-Ephara

The Power of Words — Ephara

Core Meaning:
Conscious speech, thought patterns, communication, naming, storytelling, mental creation, responsibility with language.

Expanded Meaning:
The Power of Words appears when language itself is shaping the situation. What is being said? What is being left unsaid? What story is being repeated in your mind? What names are you giving to yourself, to others, and to the future?

This card reminds you that words are not weightless. They can open doors, close hearts, build trust, create distance, heal old wounds, or sharpen them. Every thought and sentence carries creative force. The way you describe your life becomes part of how you experience it.

Ephara asks you to speak with awareness. Not perfectly. Not stiffly. But consciously. A careless word can become a wall. A truthful word can become a bridge. A kind word can become shelter.

This card may also point to journaling, prayer, confession, difficult conversations, contracts, vows, teaching, writing, or the need to clarify your thoughts before speaking them aloud.

Light Aspect:
Clear communication, thoughtful speech, wisdom, honesty, diplomacy, creative writing, naming truth, building understanding.

Shadow Aspect:
Harsh self-talk, gossip, manipulation, anxious thoughts, careless promises, overexplaining, weaponized language, stories that trap you.

As Advice:
Choose your words like you are building something with them, because you are. Speak truthfully, but not cruelly. Be honest, but not careless. Before you speak, ask: Does this create clarity, connection, or unnecessary damage?

As an Outcome:
A conversation, message, written statement, or important realization may shape what happens next. The right words may bring order to confusion. The wrong ones may create more tension than intended.

In Relationships:
This card asks for mindful communication. Say what you mean, but do not let fear, resentment, or insecurity write the script for you. It can indicate a need for apology, honesty, reassurance, or simply better listening.

In Work / Life Path:
Words may be central: emails, interviews, applications, negotiations, customer interactions, documentation, teaching, content, or public communication. This card favors careful wording and professional clarity.

Spiritual Message:
Your words are little acts of creation. Speak as though your inner world is listening, because it is.

Reversed Meaning:
Reversed, The Power of Words points to language that has become stormy, distorted, or harmful. This may be anxious self-talk, obsessive inner dialogue, criticism, spiraling thoughts, or words spoken from fear rather than truth.

If the words in your head become cruel or chaotic, return to the body. Breathe. Feel what is underneath the language. Sadness, fear, longing, anger, shame, grief. The feeling is real, but the story around it may not be.

This card reversed does not ask you to suppress your thoughts. It asks you to stop enthroning them. Let the words pass like weather. You do not have to believe every sentence your mind produces.

Reversed Advice:
Pause before speaking or reacting. If your thoughts are spiraling, stop arguing with them and return to breath, sensation, and presence. Let the feeling move without letting the words take command.

Keywords:
Words, speech, thought, communication, writing, naming, story, truth, clarity, self-talk, prayer, vows, language, creation.

MTG / Theros Connection:
Ephara, as a god of civilization, magic and language, represents the sacred architecture of words: the way speech becomes culture, law, memory, and meaning. Through Ephara, this card says that language is one of the great tools of human creation. What we name, we begin to shape.

My input: this is a deceptively powerful card. It is not just “watch what you say.” It is “notice the spell you are casting with your thoughts.” Upright, words build the temple. Reversed, words become the storm inside it.

MTG Oracle Deck Study- Hero's Journey

https://preview.redd.it/g5z82gfyhv7h1.jpg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a4451dd6e63f03b7a3fc0eeb3e47246f6fbaa5fd

Hero’s Journey — Gideon

Core Meaning:
Self-discovery, courage, initiation, personal truth, trials, growth through challenge, becoming who you are meant to be.

Expanded Meaning:
This card appears when you are being called into a defining chapter of your life. The Hero’s Journey is not merely about victory, adventure, or proving your strength. It is about discovering yourself through the trials you cannot avoid.

You may be facing a challenge that asks more of you than you expected. The road ahead may test your courage, your values, your patience, and your sense of identity. But the purpose of this journey is not to make you invincible. It is to make you honest.

Your intention is your ship: it carries you forward.
Your truth is your sword: it cuts through illusion.
Your awareness is your torch: it lights the darkness ahead.

But the armor you wear may not survive the journey. Old defenses, false confidence, pride, fear, and borrowed identities may be stripped away. The dragon you face may not be an external enemy at all. It may be your own fear, shame, avoidance, grief, anger, or self-deception.

The treasure at the end of the journey is wisdom. You return changed, not because the world made you stronger, but because you finally met yourself without disguise.

Light Aspect:
Courage, devotion, loyalty, honor, self-knowledge, perseverance, purpose, emotional bravery, noble action.

Shadow Aspect:
Martyrdom, savior complex, stubbornness, rushing into battle, defining yourself only through struggle, believing you must suffer to be worthy.

As Advice:
Answer the call. Face what you have been avoiding. Do not wait until you feel fearless; courage is action taken while fear is present. Let truth guide you more than pride.

As an Outcome:
A significant trial or turning point may lead to growth, maturity, and greater self-understanding. You may emerge wiser, humbler, and more aligned with your true purpose.

In Relationships:
This card can show a relationship or emotional situation that becomes part of your growth. It may ask you to be brave, honest, loyal, or willing to face uncomfortable truths. It can also warn against trying to “rescue” someone else at the cost of yourself.

In Work / Life Path:
You may be entering a demanding but meaningful phase. A new role, challenge, career path, or personal mission may test your abilities and reveal your deeper strengths. This card favors purposeful action, but not reckless sacrifice.

Spiritual Message:
The journey is not outside you. The road, the monster, the weapon, the wound, and the treasure all live within. To know yourself is the true quest.

Reversed Meaning:
Reversed, the Hero’s Journey suggests refusal of the call. You may be resisting a necessary challenge, avoiding a truth, or hoping that staying still will spare you from change. But some journeys begin whether we feel ready or not.

This card reversed may also point to fear of failure, fear of growth, or fear of discovering what is really inside you. You may be clinging to the safety of the familiar, even though the familiar has become too small for who you are becoming.

There is no escaping the Hero’s Journey. Refusing the call only delays the lesson. The dragon waits. The truth waits. The self you are meant to become waits.

Reversed Advice:
Stop resisting the path in front of you. You do not need to be perfect, fearless, or fully prepared. Begin anyway. Face the fear, name the truth, and take the next honorable step.

Keywords:
Courage, quest, initiation, self-discovery, trial, truth, honor, loyalty, purpose, sacrifice, wisdom, bravery, becoming.

MTG / Theros Connection:
Gideon Jura, born Kytheon Iora on Theros, represents the heroic ideal: brave, loyal, protective, and deeply devoted to those he loves. His story reflects both the nobility and the burden of heroism. Through Gideon, this card asks what it means to stand for something, to protect others, and to discover the self through sacrifice, courage, and truth.

My input: I’d be careful not to make this card only “positive heroism.” Gideon is perfect for the card because he also carries the shadow of heroism: taking too much responsibility, putting himself in harm’s way, and believing he has to be the shield for everyone. That makes the card much richer.

Magic the Gathering Oracle Deck Study.

After seeing this deck on here. I decided to pick up a copy of my own. I did find the meanings in the guidebook to be a bit sparse, and I wanted to dig a bit deeper into each of the cards.

So, I will start posting my thoughts.

The Mentor- Ajani and Brimaz

Core Meaning:
Mentorship, guidance, emotional mastery, noble example, wisdom through relationship, becoming the person you once needed.

Expanded Meaning:
The Mentor appears when guidance is available, either from another person, a tradition, a teacher, a role model, or the wiser self within you. This card is not about being controlled or told what to do. It is about recognizing the value of example.

Someone may be showing you a better way to carry yourself: with patience, honor, restraint, courage, compassion, or discipline. Their influence does not replace your own judgment; it strengthens it. The Mentor reminds you that wisdom is often learned through observation before it becomes instinct.

This card can also point to an aspirational version of yourself. You may be growing into the person who can guide others, protect what matters, and respond from principle rather than impulse. The lesson here is self-mastery: learning to govern your emotions without denying them, and to lead without domination.

Light Aspect:
Wise counsel, maturity, humility, emotional steadiness, moral clarity, support, protection, learning from experience, leadership by example.

Shadow Aspect:
Overdependence on approval, rigid thinking, pride disguised as wisdom, refusing to be taught, idolizing someone, becoming isolated in your own perspective.

As Advice:
Seek guidance, but do not surrender your own mind. Listen to those who have walked a similar road. Let their example refine you, not define you. If you are the one being looked to for guidance, lead gently and live the principles you speak.

As an Outcome:
Help, counsel, or a stabilizing influence may enter the situation. A teacher, elder, friend, guide, or respected figure may play an important role. You may also come out of this experience wiser and more capable of guiding yourself.

In Relationships:
This can show a bond built on trust, respect, protection, and emotional growth. One person may be learning from the other, or both may be helping each other become more mature. In romance or friendship, it favors patience, kindness, and honest guidance over pressure or emotional chaos.

In Work / Life Path:
A mentor, supervisor, trainer, experienced peer, or role model may become important. This card can also suggest professional development, apprenticeship, coaching, or learning the values of a new environment. It asks: Who models the kind of person you want to become?

Spiritual Message:
Wisdom is not only found in books or revelations. Sometimes it is embodied in another person’s conduct. Notice who brings out your better nature.

Reversed Meaning:
Reversed, The Mentor suggests isolation, stubbornness, or refusing the help that could steady you. You may be trying to solve everything from inside your own head, when another perspective would help you see more clearly.

It can also warn against false mentors: people who want obedience rather than growth, or advice that keeps you small. Not every confident voice is wise. The reversed Mentor asks you to discern between true guidance and control.

Reversed Advice:
Ask for help. Let someone trustworthy speak into the situation. But do not hand over your agency. The right mentor strengthens your inner compass; they do not replace it.

Keywords:
Mentor, teacher, guidance, wisdom, counsel, maturity, example, leadership, emotional mastery, support, tradition, protection, humility.

MTG / Theros Connection:
Ajani and Brimaz make this card feel noble and warm: strength guided by compassion. Ajani represents the wise warrior who has suffered, learned, and still chooses protection over bitterness. Brimaz represents leadership shaped by principle. Together, they show mentorship as a sacred exchange: wisdom passed on so that the next leader may rule themselves before trying to lead others.

My input: this card is especially strong as a “don’t do this alone” card. Not weakness. Not dependency. More like: even kings need teachers, and even teachers once needed someone to show them the way.

What can I expect this week in the situation between my co-worker and I?

Just a background... my co-worker and I were friends. Then suddenly started to avoid me about a month ago. No explanation. It's been about a month of no contact, and awkward non-interactions when we've shared the same space at work.

I asked what I could expect this week in this situation.

My interpretation is that the stress/anxiety/avoidance becomes overbearing or unbearable, forcing an approach that brings hope and allows it to take root.

But then again, I may be giving it the most generous interpretation...

Daily Draws manifesting

Lately, to get a better knowledge of individual cards, I have started with doing a daily pull. Just a single card of what my day may be like. I know, the cards are meant to be read in combos, but for this exercise, I am focusing on single cards.

I've been noticing how the card manifests in the day. A few days ago, I drew Snake. The day was full of complications... my mode of transportation didn't start, later that night my ride couldn't take me back, lots of little complications that ended up wearing me down.

Today, I drew Heart. I kind of scoffed at it. I am single, the person I was interested in has been giving me the cold shoulder, plus it was Saturday. My only plans were to take the dog to the groomer and then head home. So I pay no mind to it, and pack up the pup to take her to the groomer. I get to the groomer, and they tell me it'll be about an hour and a half or so. I decide to wait it out, rather than going home, and start walking to a nearby park and make a plan of what I may want to do to kill some time.

As I arrive to the park, I see that there is an event going on, so I decide to check it out. It was a Pride event. I had drawn the Heart and accidentally stumbled on an event celebrating love and inclusion! It was lovely, and I stayed at the event until my pup was ready, I even ran into an old teacher who gave me a place to belong to during my high school years. He was my English teacher, and he noticed a depressed kid making bad choices and had me transferred into his theater class, giving me my home at school. I gave that man a big hug when I saw him.

Anybody else do single daily draws? What has been your experience with them?

Traditional Tattoo Lenormand- All Done!

Once again, images not mine... Sourced from Pinterest and Google Images... my own personal deck. Lots of Photoshop, paper cutters, and Mod Podge

Traditional Tattoo Lenormand

I started on "creating" a prototype of my own personal deck. I noticed that most of the cards are also some common traditional tattoo designs, so I decided to run with the idea. I did not create the illustrations, and they were mostly sourced from Pinterest and Google Images. Eventually, I plan to redraw the images with my own original designs in the same style.
