On the verge of quitting Meta completely, selling my META stock, and moving to TikTok. 4 months of pure hell.

I think I’m done. I am genuinely on the edge of completely giving up on Meta Ads and moving my entire budget to TikTok (who, ironically, just handed me $6k in ad credits to switch).

For the last 4 months, I’ve been trying to scale my mobile app. I have been stuck at a brutal 0.8 ROAS, burning $150 a day of my own hard-earned money just to watch Meta's backend completely fall apart. The performance is garbage, nothing is stable, and the platform changes daily.

Lately, it’s just been a barrage of endless, unresolvable technical bugs. Right now, I can’t even get basic KOC partnership ad codes to publish because of vague "Privacy check fails" and page permission errors—even though every single asset is perfectly linked. I’m spending more time troubleshooting Meta's broken UI than actually optimizing my business.

It’s not just the performance and bugs, either. Almost everyone in my circle is losing their accounts to ridiculous hacking tricks and automated bans, with zero actual customer support to help them get their livelihoods back. Meanwhile, their CEO feels like he’s living on another planet, completely disconnected from the reality of small business owners who keep his company afloat.

I used to believe in Meta enough to hold their stock. Not anymore. I’m preparing to sell all my META shares because, experiencing this platform as an actual customer, I no longer believe in this business long-term. Sooner or later, a platform this unstable and frustrating will be replaced.

Does anyone still believe in this business?

Meta Partnership Ad Bug: "Privacy check fail" & Error #1815813 for App Install Campaign

Hey everyone, hoping to get some eyes on a brutal Meta Ads glitch I can't bypass.

I’m running an App Promotion (App Install) campaign driving traffic directly to the iOS App Store. I am attempting to set up a Partnership Ad using ad codes sent by two different KOCs/creators.

Every time I try to publish, it fails and throws two errors:

  1. "Privacy check fail - Some privacy check on the ad content prevented the ad from being deliverable."
  2. Error #1815813 - “The Page you've selected is not available... or you may not have permission to see this Page.”

What I've already verified / tried:

  • It happens with both creators' codes, so it's likely an issue on my end.
  • My brand’s FB Page and IG account are fully connected in Business Manager, and I have full admin control.

Has anyone dealt with this specific privacy/page availability block when running partnership codes for App Install campaigns? Is this a known Meta bug with the App Store destination routing, or am I missing a hidden asset permission?

Appreciate any insights!

Hey everyone,

I’ve been tracking my app's new ratings closely, and I’m currently only getting a 2-3% rating rate compared to my total weekly downloads.

Right now, my logic for triggering the native rating prompt is:

  • Once during onboarding (at the end of onboarding or right after the paywall).
  • After a "meaningful user event" (when they've actually completed a core action and gotten value).

Are my numbers roughly standard, or is there a reliable way to push this conversion rate higher? I’d love to get some insights from your experiences:

  1. What does your rating-to-download rate look like?
  2. Have you found a "sweet spot" for when to ask for a rating?
  3. Any other tips or strategies for improving this number without annoying users or increasing churn?

Would appreciate any advice or feedback on how you handle this. Thanks!
