Well, it even happened to me
Accidentally dropped my phone from approx. 1 meter down to the floor tiles. The corner is completely dented by ONE drop. Even slim case (I mean - really slim) from Pitaka didn’t take the hit.
I can see a gap between screen and a shell.
My question is: is this phone still water resistant?
BTW. It’s a shame for Apple that they made a $1099 phone, with ZERO drop resistance.

iPhone 17 pro max sucks !!!
Apple Intelligence doesn’t work , I asked it to change to woman voice doesn’t the intelligence of Apple Intelligence couldn’t do it. What do they think I have all day to make a smart phone smart ?? It’s supposed to be smart from the day I buy it 😂😂. Then the apple insurance that you get for a year doesn’t even cover anything not even software defects. Alarm doesn’t sound , ringer fails , Apple Intelligence can’t even block multiple numbers at once after giving it access to. Pretty dumb to me it’s just a thousand to don’t make this mistake.
