I just found out that the last person i personally knew who was trying for med just got in this cycle making me the only person left and the future looks very bleak. Idk what to even say or do.

Hey guys I am trying to figure out how to go to the UK for med school as somebody who has already graduated with a bachelors. Please keep any “give up on med” or “too expansive” comments aside as I am just inquiring at the moment. I just wanna know if there is a viable path to UK and coming back. Ik this is a random question but I just wanted to ask do IMGs face discrimination while working because CMGs might think they weren’t competitive enough to get into Canada?
Why are people told to just give up on a career rather than like maybe go abroad or keep trying through other pathways etc? Is this actively a way to filter out people? If it’s your goal and it takes you 10 years why not keep at it?

This is a very weird situation to be in (I agree). I actually scheduled my hair transplant before realizing that my Casper exam will need to be taken 1.5 months after. Unfortunately, the program I’m applying to doesn’t allow for any more dates after the date that is 1.5 months away after HT. My question is if anybody who has done a hair transplant, is 1.5 months ok to lose scabs and to lose presentable in Casper? I don’t expect to have a full head of hair. However, I just want to look “normal” in front of the camera (bald is fine).
