I vividly remember a shot in Scream 4 that isn’t there anymore

This randomly comes back to my mind every time I rewatch Scream 4, and I’ve never asked anyone about it before, but Reddit feels like a safe space 😂

I remember being way too young to see Scream 4, so I watched it on some site that had a CAM bootleg uploaded. I vividly remember a shot of Jill coming out from underneath Kirby’s bed after Sidney tells her to hide under there, and before Sidney comes looking for her.

I swear it was literally just a shot of Jill wiggling/crawling out from under the bed. I’m so certain I remember it that I could probably draw the exact shot if I were remotely good at drawing LOL.

But whenever I watch Scream 4 now, that shot isn’t there. I’m assuming it was in the theatrical release, but I genuinely have no idea anymore.

Is there ANYONE else who remembers this? 😭 I feel like I’m going crazy. It definitely wasn’t in the version I’ve watched since, but I distinctly remember seeing it in that old bootleg/CAM version.

Please tell me someone else remembers this!!

Does anyone own the Smiffys Brandon James mask?

Does anyone own the Smiffys Brandon James costume, specifically the mask? I’d love to see the quality of it before I buy one for myself. It’s pretty much my last hope since the Fun World masks are so rare!

Why do Rob Zombie’s Halloween movies feel so nostalgic now?

I absolutely love the late-night movie vibe of Rob Zombie’s Halloween II. It feels like the kind of movie you would’ve rented back in the day, grabbed a pizza and a couple of sodas, and stayed up way too late watching.

Even now, catching it on TV at like 2am just feels right. 😂 There’s something about the grimy, weird, dreamlike atmosphere of the movie that gives it this strange nostalgic feeling.

And I know Rob Zombie’s heart apparently wasn’t really in making it, and I completely understand why people have issues with the film. But there’s still a certain magic to it for me. It has this raw, almost sleazy late-night horror vibe that I don’t really get from the other Halloween movies.

It might not be the best Halloween film, but it has a personality all of its own, and honestly, sometimes that matters more to me.

Anyone else get that same feeling from Halloween II?

Did Halloween: Resurrection take inspiration from MTV’s Fear?

I’m watching MTV’s Fear for the first time and just got done with the pilot, the West Virginia State Penitentiary episode, and it struck me how similar the concept is to Halloween: Resurrection (2002).

Fear had young people entering supposedly haunted locations at night, with cameras documenting their experience, including head-mounted cameras. Then Halloween: Resurrection has a group of young people entering Michael Myers’ childhood home as part of a reality/webcast show, again using head cameras and being filmed throughout the night.

Obviously, Resurrection has its own concept and I’m not saying it was officially based on Fear, but the similarities are pretty striking — especially considering Fear was airing around 2000–2002, just before Resurrection came out.

Original broadcast music vs. DVD music — is it different?

I’ve seen a couple of people mention that the music used during scenes when the show originally aired is sometimes completely different on the DVD release. Is that actually true?

Does it happen with every song, or just certain ones? I’m assuming it’s something to do with music licensing, but I’d be interested to know if anyone knows for sure.

Also, does anyone know whether the song used in this specific TikTok is still included on the DVD version?

Moesha

There was a channel dedicated to reruns of Moesha but it disappeared a few months back. Does anyone know what happened with that? I loved having it on in the background whilst I worked

Emma just began her shift at Grindhouse, what’s your order and who are you with?

Personally I’m getting an iced white mocha with cinnamon and I’m talking all things true crime with Piper

Purple screen every time I turn on my TV with Roku – fixed by changing HDMI input and back?

Every time I switch on my TV, my Roku home screen has a purple/pink tint like in the photo.

The strange thing is that if I switch to another HDMI input and then back to the Roku, the picture immediately returns to normal.

This happens every time I turn the TV on.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I’ve attached a photo of what it looks like before switching inputs. Any advice or fixes would be appreciated!

Tubi’s Coming Soon! Category includes “Scream: The TV Series”

Hopefully the series finds a home outside of the US, but it’s still nice to see it’s available somewhere for free, in the year 2026. And to my fellow Europe pals, try using a VPN to watch ;) August 1st

Riverdale Theory: The “Tangerine” trigger caused the end of Betty and Jughead

I think the show may have unintentionally hinted at something much darker in season 4.

Everyone (including Betty) assumes that the “Tangerine” trigger word was designed to make her physically hurt someone she loves. The obvious conclusion is that it pays off when she hits Jughead with the rock during the Stonewall storyline.

But what if that wasn’t the real payoff?

In the episode “Tangerine,” Betty says the trigger word to herself in the mirror. A few episodes later, she suddenly kisses Archie and they share secret moments in the bunker together. What’s interesting is that Betty repeatedly doesn’t understand why she’s doing it. She almost seems disconnected from her own actions, and then she abruptly calls it off.

Eventually, Betty confesses everything to Jughead, destroying their relationship.

So what if the hypnosis wasn’t meant to make Betty physically hurt someone she loved? What if it was simply meant to make her hurt a loved one—emotionally?

If that’s true, then Jughead wasn’t just the victim of the rock incident. The real victim of the “Tangerine” conditioning was the betrayal itself. Betty unintentionally destroys the relationship with the person she loves most, and this would’ve been the perfect revenge from Evelyn as she already blames Betty for the reason she’s locked away.

It also makes the aftermath make more sense. Years later, Archie and Veronica eventually find their way back to each other, but Betty and Jughead never really do. Jughead still seems to carry feelings for Betty, but the two never connect on a romantic level again.

I’m not saying this was definitely the writers’ intention, but it feels like a much cleaner explanation than the hypnosis plot simply disappearing after the Stonewall arc. It also explains why Betty seemed so confused by her own behaviour with Archie.

MTV Scream deserves a streaming home again

As far as I’m aware, Scream: The TV Series currently isn’t available to stream anywhere in the UK, which is a shame because Seasons 1 and 2 in particular still have a really dedicated fanbase.

I’ve reached out to Tubi and Paramount and also submitted a title request to Netflix in the hope that one of them might consider licensing or adding the series in the future.

I know individual requests probably don’t move mountains, but if enough fans show interest maybe someone will eventually pick it up again.

Would anyone else here be interested in seeing the show return to streaming? And if so, where would you like to see it land?

I’ve linked below the websites in which you guys could also write to them and submit a request to Netflix
