State Of The Game Question

Hello fellow Astroneers! I have a important question for you all. I have played through the game several times at this point, including alpha and beta. I always have a blast with friends. My recent save file started in 2021 where we have built tons, explored everything, and set up automations/trains. I decided to jump back in last night with my buddy, but his game ended up crashing after a bit...

My question is, is the game in a more stable state on a fresh save these days!? Is there anything about the updates the game has had and starting new, or would we hit the same wall with how the game runs once you have so much built/running?

I would love to play the game without the crashes for guests, issues with invisible geometry, automations not working... to name a few.

I Fixed Issues With Epic Games Launcher Not Updating/Launching

Have you also been having issues with the Epic Games launcher when it wants to update? Is it in an update loop? Spending hours trying to get it fixed!? I was having issues that prevented the launcher from updating and even opening at all. Before you try uninstalling and any big things like that give this a try.

Open task manager
Go to services tab
Find EpicGamesUpdater
Right click, click on Open Services
Find Epic Games Updater
Right click, click Start (Leave Services Window Open)
Try opening Epic Games Launcher again

Let me know if that works for you! If it fixes it and the Startup Type was manual, I wonder if setting it to automatic will fix it for future update/install issues.

Odd Noises When Turning My Car

My 2013 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI started making some odd noises sometimes when turning the steering wheel to the right a few months back. I took it to a shop and they did a few different expensive things (CV axle replacement and front breaks), but the noises still persist and they have not been able to figure out what is going on. They even had me drive around with them, but the noises never really popped up at that time. Now I am also getting an odd sound coming when I turn the wheel to the left at times too, so it seems to be getting worse.

The noises seem to happen more frequently when it is hot out. The more the wheel goes to the right, so sharper turns, the more likely it seems to happen. Sometimes there is a slight thunk turning from straight to right right away. To me is sounds like something is rubbing against something else. If I keep the wheel to the right and go in a circle the sound repeats, almost like in the audio that I repeated in editing. It sounds like it is coming from the left wheel well area. The noise turning left sounds like it is coming from the right wheel well area and sounds like a small squeal as if a shock is making a noise.

I have attached a video that just has some recordings I was able to get while driving in a parking lot. I boosted and repeated the two instances of the sounds turning to the right.

Any idea what might be going on?
