You know what girl would be perfect for Bobby?

Not Loor and not Courtney. Definitely not Nevva (I just finished the Quillan book and she reminds me of Julia from Nineteen Eighty Four in terms of her loyalties).

She is originally from Second Earth as well. Her name is Violet Baudelaire. She too has lost her parents.

(In all seriousness, I read the Lemony Snicket books as a teen instead of these. I was told about these books by my then-partner a few years ago).

Claudia would be the kind of adult giving out full sized candy bars on Halloween.

I'm sure it's her favorite holiday, considering she loves creating costumes as well as junk food.

Autistic lucid dreamer for 17 or so years here. Also very interested in parapsychology.

I got into lucid dreaming to independently help with my chronic recurring nightmares as an older neurodivergent teen. I wasn't comfortable telling my therapist back then that I was having those nightmares, because I wanted a solution for them that I didn't need anyone else's help with.

I've had a friend since 2015 who has dealt with what the medical model calls "severe mental illness" since she was a young kid. She approaches her conditions from a shamanic perspective, and says that many shamanistic indigenous cultures have shamans that would be considered mentally ill in Western societies. I also know that voice hearing isn't always perceived as negative across cultures by voice hearers like it is in the West.

I became interested in psi concepts like out of body experiences, precognitive dreams, and remote viewing during the pandemic. Some of my lucid dreaming teachers and mentors also know I am autistic and are very able and willing to accommodate that.

Last year, I took Charlie Morley's Lucid Dreaming Facilitator Training course (offered every other year, partially online and partially in person in the UK). Charlie is a Tibetan Buddhist and emphasizes using lucid dreaming for shadow work in his book Dreaming Through Darkness. (I highly recommend his TED talk on this, available on YouTube). He has also taught lucid dreaming to veterans and others suffering from PTSD (there's an excellent study from the Institute of Noetic Sciences about this - the results are amazing!)

I am slowly working on starting what I call my "literal dream job" of teaching lucid dreaming primarily to other neurodivergent people.

Glad to be here!

Are there ROM hacks for this game yet?

If so, do I need a modded 3DS or emulator for them?

Mods, please tell me if this is the wrong place to ask.

I played these upon release. I'd like to go through Kalos again, but don't want to reset my save that has a completed National Pokedex on it.

Haven't yet read any Doestoevsky, and "The Idiot" seems most interesting based on what I know about Doestoevsky's life (specifically his epilepsy). I read half of War and Peace in my gap year (so I do have some context for that era of Russian history, but I read that 15+ years ago).

The only classic book I've read fairly recently is Where The Red Fern Grows, which is a world away from Doestoevsky's works. Is it OK to start with "The Idiot" based on my interest in that work specifically vs something like White Nights, The Underground, or Crime and Punishment?

For those of you who have/had corporate office jobs: what do you do about socialization events outside the office with coworkers that the company puts on?

I ask because my office has one of those events coming up next week and I feel like they are pushing people to attend under the assumption that it's "fun" even though you don't have to (you can use paid time off if you don't go). The pushiness (IMO) makes me mad because they weren't like this in previous years at this job. It makes me feel isolated from my allistic coworkers who actually enjoy that stuff.
