ISO MASTER PLUMBER | Adding GAS RANGE

San Antonio, TX

As the title says. Looking for recommendations on someone adding a gas line for a gas stove. We currently have gas running to our water heater and furnace, but not the stove. (Don't ask why; it's an older home).

We've had one guy come out and quoted around $3500 or so. Don't know if that's good or not.

I am not sure what to expect for a project like this. But from what the first guy saw in my attic, he would be able to TEE off the main gas line going from the water heater to the furnace and put an outlet behind my stove.

EDIT: I'll look into a drywaller

We wanted to see if we can get someone who will also cover up the walls when they cut them open as well. Don't want to have to hire someone else to do that later.

TIA

AMC Rivercenter IMAX 70mm *Any Updates*

Looking to get updates to see if anyone's heard if they were able to fix the projector. I'm watching the Odyssey in IMAX at the Palladium this Friday. I still want to see the 70mm version at Rivercenter. I had bought my ticket for the 17th, but of course everyone's ticket was refunded. I was able to get an ok seat for the 27th, but if I can hold off until the release dates for the 30th or 31st so I can get a better seat, I will.

Does anyone know when they release the showtimes?

Why does my passenger headlight look like this?

Replaced HID bulbs but passenger doesn’t have that line your suppose to have? D3S xenarc CBN

I made sure the bulb clicked in with the bracket retainer thing because I made sure I couldn’t pull it out by hand.

What would you do?

First three pics are up in front of house. The yard is higher than where the dirt hits the foundation so it puddles up near the house. Need ideas.

Pictures for 4-8 are my backyard
We live on a lower slope. Neighbors behind us are above so when it rains bad it brings all the water to my house.
I had those large river rocks to slow it down but over time with all the erosion I’m losing sight of my foundation. Had some flooding in the bedroom.
Need ideas. I had someone put a French drain but it’s not big enough I think.

tapping into existing water hose spigot using pex. How to secure pex in sheetrock?

wanting to get some insight on a DIY job I'm going to try to do myself. I have a good amount of tools and know my way around some things, so I feel this is something I can tackle. I just need some questions answered.

heres the layout (ill post pictures later for better understanding)

looking at my house, my water spigot is on the opposite side of my main lawn. connected to my garage. It's on the side with the small strip of grass. I want to tap into the existing one and feed pex up the wall, through the ceiling, and down the other side of my garage wall.

I've already made a list of materials I need. and ill list them below to see if I need anything else.

to start this idea off for me was that i had that existing spigot repaired not to long ago and he had to cut into the drywall. so its been open, im going to just add an acess panel back there since im going to add a shut off valve for this job.

tapping into the existing line:

ill be cutting the plumbers pex pipe he installed to tap into the copper main line.

ill be using a 1/2 sharkbite tee going into 3/4 pex piping. from there ill turn that 3/4 pex with a elbow up towards the ceiling, drill hole through top plate to feed pex through ceiling.

heres where ill need to cut into sheetrock in the ceiling to feed the line. whats lucky for me in this situation (well i think so) is that on the side where i want to put the spigot, the ceiling sheetrock is not there currently due to repair, so this is the time to do all this i think in my eyes.

ill either elbow the pex to fit perfectly in the ceiling or just curve it ( this is one of the questions i wanted to know, whats best?)

lucky for me i wont have to drill into any joist, the joist run the same direction the pex will be going. however (heres my next question) how do i secure it if i dont have enough opening in the ceiling sheetrock? will i have to cut more holes? just let pex lay on top of ceiling sheetrock? there is that spray in insulation i beleive but not a lot.

next ill be drilling into the top plate on the new spigot side to feed the pex down into the wall. i was going to just open up a hole behind where the new spigot was going to go and a access panel as well. (make it easier for me)

my biggest question is how to secure the pex in the wall without cutting too many holes in sheetrock?

list of materials:

50ft 3/4 pex pipe B

(4) 3/4 90 degree brass elbow for Pex B

(1) 1/2 sharkbite tee

(1) sharkbite shut off valve 1/2 to 3/4

3/4 Pex B brass coupling

(1) 1 sharkbite hose spigot 3/4

Crimping tool

sharbite removal tool

spade bit for top plates
