Worries about mobility progression

Hi!

So my LO is 11 weeks old tomorrow, and she's started to almost roll back to tummy when she's awake. Like she goes on her sides and her leg is out and she's trying to push herself farther over.

This got me thinking about what I should do. We bedshare, and I started worrying about "what if she rolls on her tummy and she's face down in the mattress?"

Our mattress is super firm, like to where she doesn't sink down or over when next to me. She's also a side sleeper. We don't have any obstructions or large blankets that come near her and I'm super intent that my husband and I are very separated in the bed to keep her safe on my side.

Should I start putting her in a bedside bassinet? I don't know how she'll do. And I want to sleep with her because it's easier for me. I don't know how to go about this. Any advice?

Exhausted

**TRIGGERING WORDS**

My baby (2 months) last night had me up kicking me over and over and she just kept waking up. A lot more often than normal. I am utterly exhausted today and am worried about sleeping with her while tired like this because people tell me I'll roll on her and kill her if I cosleep with her while exhausted. She only sleeps this way though so I'd be getting no sleep tonight either. I'm wondering if there's something I can do or if I'm just overthinking all this. I've been cosleeping with her since day 1.

Is it okay to bedshare with my 2 month old if I feel sick and fatigued?

I just am super paranoid. And it's been completely fine up till now but today I have a ear ache and headache next to my ear and I'm feeling super tired and was wondering if there's a risk to it. She's breastfed so it's easier to bedshare but I wouldn't put her safety at risk if it is one.

A mantra that's helped

I'm only two weeks in, but this is something I tell myself when it feels difficult, and hopefully it can resonate with someone else too. It's helped when I feel overwhelmed.

_It's obvious that you chose her by carrying her and bringing her into this world. And I know it's overwhelming to hear her upset, you can't help but feel like you are the culprit. But remember this, she also chooses you. With every exhausting cry, every shiver then snuggles to get closer, with every two hours of cooing and whining for food, she. Chose. You. To be that person that picks her up and makes her feel safe. To be the one she can emotionally reset with (even at the poor expense of your nipples). To be the one she wants to analyze when she's becoming more conscious every day. To be the one she wants to play with. She chose YOU for comfort. YOU for safety. YOU for love. YOU for fun. YOU for EVERYTHING. And that. That is profound. Because she's been handed to many others so far, yet she is still every day, choosing you._

Something that's helped me so far.

Hi guys, I'm a FTM and I'm nowhere even into the fire zones yet, but I'm on week two with my little one and there's been a few moments I just have to hand her to my husband so I can breathe, and moments I feel like a bad mom because I'm exhausted over something that she cannot control. So I have been doing this little mantra to help me, and it genuinely calms me down. Maybe it can help someone else too.

"Just remember, it's obvious that you chose her by carrying her and bringing her into this world. But remember this, she also chooses you. To be the one she wants to play with. She chose YOU for comfort. YOU for safety. YOU for love. YOU for fun. YOU for EVERYTHING. And that. That is profound. Because she's been handed to many others so far, yet she still every day chooses you. Just as you choose her."
